Its great for both worlds! Its pretty handy being able to use it as a vstudio as well as a live instrument. Ive played around with it to make tunes, its a tight contendor with reason, Kicks ass over reason in a few ways. Reason also has www.petertools.com to use reason as a live tool but imo doesnt ...

My advice to myself is for me to use my ears as the best method of getting it to sound good! Compare your tunes to other tunes of the same typeand adjust, configure and tweek accordingly to achieve the same effect. Thats one technique that I find useful. I usually double up on a kick and even a snar...

Do you use a control surface or keyboard controller? Ive just bought a novation x-station and it works a treat with reason 3... its amazing how much of a differance in productivity it makes! Also im using R3.0.4...

Cheers evil, great advice... when I get home from work i'll review your comments and play around with it. Im only using reason at thios stage as I think there is no real need for anything else. I think if you learn to use reason properly it does the job fine. Ive only been making tunes for 6 months ...

I think the redrum fold out idea not a bad one but could easily take up too much of the rack space, as for nudging beats forward... isnt that done with flange? I like the sequencer how it is, once you get use to it its pretty good. Ive tryed rewiring but would rather just use the factory sequencer, ...
