May I recommend tassie for a great holiday...

Took my car and drove down the east coast, stopped along the way at random places and ended up in hobart. A very nice town,

Tassie in general is awesome, nice people, beautiful landscape, nice food and wine. can't go wrong.

I thought it was illegal to post mixes anyway?

You're making the music in the mix available to others who haven't purchased it.

You'll be VERY VERY lucky to get a network admin job straight out of uni/course. I don't know anyone in the industry willing to take that risk, let's face it, there is nothing like experience on the job. You are better off applying for level 1 helpdesk jobs and moving up the ladder from there. Good ...

Re: Compression

An interesting quote, and one I agree with.

"People think dynamics are a bad thing now. It's sad, like if we just communicated to each other all the time without any inflection, always just yelling. That's what music's doing now, yelling at you."

I'd go with logitronics personally, if you want it done quickly.

Are the tact switches the same as on the 808? If so then I have some spare ones if you want, how many you need?. Don't have pots though, but like you said, chips or vintage planet will have some.

Get a linksys wireless router.

Don't skimp on it, the crappy ones are nightmare to get to work, and keep connected.

You might need a booster antenna somewhere in the house too.

It's not just the actual sound of the 303 that's important, the sequencer is quirky to use, and sometimes you "accidently" create a cool sequence. Hard to explain in words. You also have swing etc. Anyway, I don't want to start another 303 vs emulators debate. We all have different tastes....

Its a bit of gear lust, but I mostly just want THAT sound.

No software can emulate it IMO. I don't use software anyway. The sequencer is a major part of the 303's sound.

Cheers for he advice, I've thought about the x0xb0x

But, i don't want to wait 6-12months for one, and prebuilt ones go for over 1k. I've always wanted to get a 303, only now I can afford it.

I want to write acid house/electro, so I think the price is worth it. :)
