Not at all. Everybody's sad at what this place has become so why not just end it?

As I mentioned, all good things must come to an end, and it's better to end on a high than to go on in an embarrassing way. Why wouldn't you put something you cared about out of it's (our) misery?

Nothing lasts forever. I'd rather it be gone than be left in this state, tbh. At least then we could remember how good it was, as opposed to how lame it is.

Re: 4th ANNUAL COMMUNITY DANCE // SUN 4 MAR // HEARTICAL H

It's my brother-in-law's and mate's system. And it doesn't really have a name apart from V8 because it's the 8th version. I just provide the space and some tunes. We have a few different people play so there's a mix of roots (ska, rocksteady, reggae), blues, soul, hip-hop, rock, and also some techno...

Re: 4th ANNUAL COMMUNITY DANCE // SUN 4 MAR // HEARTICAL H

Nice work, fellas.

Couldn't make it this year because we had our own sound system happening in the lane behind our shop. However I did send my eldest down to check you guys, and he was suitably blown away.

Now 2 soundsystems at the festival, how many more til we can compete with Notting Hill? ;)

Half way through, and really enjoying it. I'm a fan of old films, too, so the references are making me smile. And "Where are all the films?" is something I regularly say to mrs roar while trawling through the tv guide looking for something that isn't a csi or reality show.
