new audio formats usually have limited success convincing the public they are better or necessary.

for this format to be successful it would need to convince producers & engineers to change they way they work in as well.

hardly an mp3 killer.

its usually called portamento (or glide).

not sure about absynth, i'm sure it will have ti though.

that's crazy cheap! decent motorized faders don't come cheap, usually around the $100+ mark just for the part (more for p&g), without any of the other bits required for the unit.

but i guess they didn't sell enough

The ol' Tascam US-2400 (fucking awesome unit!) had/has 24-seperate channels and a master - all with motorized faders. Phwoar, that does sound pretty sweet. Jospehson microphones are amazing. I haven't used the E22s (but i've heard great recordings made with them.

I own a pair of C617 (+ gefell MK221 caps) and they are one of the most detailed omni mics I've heard. Buy some Josephsons you won't regret it!

Apogee UV is not a sample rate converter (or any other type of converter). It's just a dithering algorithm.
