Re: Buying a new TV - Whats all the hype......
The latest technology to come out that beats both plasma + LCD in lifespan, power use + heat, contrast + clarity + colour is laser TVs. I'd never heard of them until I saw one recommended in Time Magazine's Top 10 Gadgets List for 2008 and did a bit of reading up them... Mitsubishi have just release...

@funkyfarm: Cabs are pretty damn cheap in Melbourne so it's not a huge deal to get a cab for a 10-15 minute ride... more so if you share with friends. I couldn't believe it in London when I wanted to go from north (Shoreditch) to South West (Putney) and the going rate was 40-45 quid, ie. AU$100. In ...

Yeah, technically they ARE outputting a 1080p signal, but the actual PS3 just renders a 720p image and upscales it. Cheeky.Kaiproject wrote:MGS4 says 1080p on the back, as do a few others, but yeah could just be upscaled from 720p

One other thing to be weary of in terms of leaking (although I think DJ promos are where the leak would most likely have happened) - how did you send the tracks to the mastering house? Sites like sendspace, yousendit etc aren't that secure. The safest way is by private HTTP/FTP.
