I can only see one fault with it... its a Behringer with moving parts. Experience tells me that this is likely to be an issue....

maybe not so much if theres no audio running through the parts themselves...

are you pluggin into the same powerpoint as the rest of the audio equipment? if not then try putting the lappy on the same powerpoint as the mixer/amp/whatever you are plugging into. if this doesnt work you can try grounding the chassis of the two bits of equipment, with any kind of wire connecting ...

if the beats are matching then they will sum... its not that they are louder at the position but that the signal (of say the kick) is in essence similar enough in both channels - ie in phase. the gain increase wont be so pronnounced if the tracks fit around each other, rather than on top of each oth...
