the hanging rails are not up yet, and there is a big event at miss libs on the weekend and they would rather not be responisble ofr the safety of the art.

so saturdays hanging date is postponed untill further notice.

it wont be sunday either, as both me and glenn are away.

keep yall posted...

its not john so.

thank fuck.

mellogs' dad is an award winning auctioneer.

iknow that john so would have had gimmick value, but i dont think he would have been able to get us the best price for the art.

and i personally dont like his new graffitti draft, so i dont want him auctioning my street art friends work, which is pretty much all of the art we have.

we hung most of the artwork last night, it was the first time I'd seen most of them and they look bloody AWESOME!

There are a couple that I have my eye on, just wish I had the dollars to bid for them

Hi all :)
Looks like this weekend is turning out to be a killer - sunday will be big fun!!!

So a few ppl are asking me (and I'm curious too) what the specs are for the art auction... is there some info I can have about this? how i bid (do you need to register?), how i need to pay, is there a catalogue of images online i can look at?...
LMB told me all this stuff is sorted & should hit you guys up here for the info... hope you can help out! Let me know if there's any words/images/weblinks I can forward on >>> :) thank you

You can go view the works now at Miss Libertines. The catalogue will be available from Thursday night.

Details on the catalogue:

If you wish to bid on one or more of these pieces, please come to Miss Libertine’s on 4 March 2007 from 4pm to the front room, for the auction. Cash and credit cards accepted (all major credit cards except Diners, and AMEX incurs a 2% service charge).

tempting images to come soon  8)

lizkins and I are gonimg to make it as logical as possible.

we should be able to work it all out

with ease..

question:

Will the art auction start at something like $100 and move up or will the starting price be representative of the art itself? ie: size etc?

I dunno :tard:

Posted: Thu Mar 01, 2007 4:31 pm
by ghetto kitty
the reserves will be rough guides for starting bids, and set by me in terms of what i think is the most saleable, appealing to a wide range of people etc

not nessicarily size relative, but that will be a factor.

most will start low, from 40-70 dollars and go up up up!!!

i have had ten years experince of pricing art, over six countires, so i do have some idea how to price art, which is a really hard thing to do generally!
