Custards Art Launch - Tuesday April 3rd at Workshop

Post by universal sea »

Custards is the most prolific young artist I've met and Tuesday night at Workshop she launches her debut exhibition showcasing her deeply brooding, introspective style of drawings and paintings.

She's already created a substantial buzz from Off Beat patrons chatter alone, they got to see her art shortly after it was hung.

Workshop - 413 Elizabeth Street (enter via A'Beckett) - Melbourne. Free entry, cheap drinks.

6pm to late.

DJ Trooper and non-DJ Sea amongst other special guests spinning hip-hop, downtempo, drum & bass, funk, IDM and other eclectic offerings.

Yes indeed it is...

She's over the moon about this and she's hyped up by nature to begin with. Should be good, really good.

For the record, it says 6-9pm on the flyer, but Workshop said we can run the whole night instead of their normal Harmonics, so we'll likely be there 'till they boot us by 11 or 12.

Three others around the back have already been demanded.

And the skateboards could be the crown jewel for somebody...

I'll post pics of the actual exhibit when I get them. On my way soon, I'm playing 6-7.

She sold half her stuff already.

My god what a drunken evening. I've never seen Workshop so consistently packed on a Tuesday. After 1am, there was still a huge line up at the bar and management had to turn them away. It would have gone until 3 otherwise.

Great fun playing. Thanks to Tom, Trooper, Lephrenic and Cammo for dropping tunes. And well done to Claire.
