Twas a funtastic night!! Nice turn out.. crazy pool table... great tunes... erratic dancefloor!!

Left for Upbeats for a bit but 'pon return... more good tunes, some more interesting dancefloor shenanigans, a paramedic, a touch of fluro and a dash of pepper spray... made for a very interesting night!

ATP, Zero Hour and Sustain... top works!

Mr Hooves.....sorry for gettin u into trouble ova the PA! I agree, it does sound likes its burried in a Mississippi swamp.

I went n checked out the John Cage piece that was goin on that night in fed square and had trouble convincing some ppl of what I saw due to my state.....heres the photographic evidence.

Some dude with a trombone, a Korg and a CRO. Make of it what u will....

Image

Image

...and of course what else wold u expect @ 3:30 am but to find a chick wrapped in newspaper with a grand piano and some dude rolling around on the floor covered in pillows. And also a guy up in the roof being a spider and making a spiders web as u can see in the bottom photo. Nuthing out of the ordinary there...

cool photos!!

Nice work Myst & Zero Hour (sorry to the rest of the crew that I didn't stay longer, needed my :smt015 )

As for John Cage, here's some thoughts to go with the above pics::
If something is boring after two minutes, try it for four. If still boring, then eight. Then sixteen. Then thirty-two. Eventually one discovers that it is not boring at all.
It is better to make a piece of music than to perform one, better to perform one than to listen to one, better to listen to one than to misuse it as a means of distraction, entertainment, or acquisition of ''culture.''
I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones.

ROFL indeed, did it get fixed though??

Good times (again).

NZ cab sav is most excellent and does not cause hangovers.. although slurred speech warning is given

Zero Hour... when I first saw those pics, I thought the trombone guy was wax

A funny thing happened to me on the way to this gig last Friday. I got all the way to out the front of E-55, just metres away from the Night Owl... and the rest of the night is a bit of a blur.
