True stories both!! Ellis was one of the premier rave and hardcore dj's of the late 80's early 90's. Have seen a few of his early sets from 92 - 93 floating around but have never listened, will have to dig in methinks...

dude, what an album

the sisters are in
so check the front line
seems I spent the 80's
in a Haiti state of mind
Cast me in the classes
for electroshock
straight incarcerated
te curriculums a cell block
I'm swimming in half truths
and it makes me wanna spit
instructor come seperate
the healthy from the sick
weigh me on the scales
I;m smelling burnt skin
its dark now
In Darkau and Im screaming from within
cos Im cell locked
in the doctrines of the right
enslaved by dogma
talk about my birth rights
yet at every turn Im runnin into hells gates
so I grib the cannon like Fanon
and pass the shells to my class mates
all power to the people
yeah yeah the bosses right to live is mine to die
I'm goin out heavy sorta like mount Tai
with the 5 centuries of penetentiarys so let the guilty hang
IN THA YEAR OF THA BOOMERANG!

Essential rock album of the early nineties. Better written than Generation Terrorists, more groove than the Holy Bible....Richie's guitar work is fantastic. And much more aggression than their later work, mostly due to Richie's songwriting...cause he went missing and all....love digging out the old stuff.
