MXML: Industrialyzer (Live) + Virgil Enzinger (Live) 2nd Oct

Post by nadine »

The gang at MXML are back in town, ready to drop a new event at our home Miss Libertine, starring two Techno heavyweights, both brand new to Australian shores.

Image

Industrialyzer (Live) - Portugal
Owner of the Codeworks label, frequent collaborator with the Advent, Ricardo Rodrigues is a master of heavy, layered techno. The Industrialyzer’s sound is clean and bursting with crazy production and musical ideas. Now it's our turn to witness his incredible, fast paced live set. Welcome to the MXML family Industrialyzer.
Image

Virgil Enzinger (Live) – Austria
Austrian native, Virgil Enzinger will be playing 100% LIVE in Australia for the first time. Virgil´s sounds fits in perfectly to the demand for straight but still grooving techno. MXML style.
Image

Linas (Live)
Local legend Linas is back to his home at MXML, ready to launch a dual Ableton Live and Traktor onslaught for the first time. This will be a performance not to miss.
Image

Matt Radovich
A consistent supporter of the best in techno, Matt will be closing out proceedings like only he can. If you’ve seen Matt really go for it before, you do not want to miss this set.
Image

lingfish
After nagging shit out of us to get him a longer set to expound his groove and to slam it out the way we like, we have delivered. Come see part man, part fish playing 100% proper techno.
Image

Machina
MXML honcho, and Melbourne Techno stalwart for well over a decade, Machina returns to show off his distinctive sound with a brand new semi live setup that will no doubt blur the lines between DJing and Live performance.

Well it is that time of the week already and we at MXML HQ can now let you in on set times for this Saturday night.

Main Room - Techno
lingfish 1000 - 1100
Linas (live) 1100 - 1200
Virgil Enzinger (live) 1200 - 130
The Industrialyzer (live) 130 - 300
Machina (live) 300 - 400
Matt Radovich 400 – 500

Front Room – Dubstep / Drum & Bass

Dstract 1000 - 1200
Fiend 1200 - 100
Liqweed 100 - 200
Safire 200 - 300
Rukkus 300 - 400
West:One 400 – 500

As you can see, we have not held any punches and the techno action in the main room and the Dubstep / Drum & Bass action in the front room are going to go off to an almighty start.

lingfish is going to storm the techno room from the go-get. He's been showing me some of his new tuneage and he is not going to be one you will want to miss; I'm predicting a great set here.

If that isn't enough incentive to get you there early, one of our local techno heavyweights, Linas, feature of a DJ profile in Beat today (refer below), will be getting on stage at the early time of 11pm for a 1 hour set of true tough techno.

Why all these acts so early?

Well, when you have two MONSTER headliners like Virgil Enzinger and Industrialyzer, both 100% live, both playing 90 min sets, well, there is only so much techno we can fit into one night!

Virgil's set will be, in his words, "… 90 mins 130-134 BPM, pumping and dark techno." With huge new tunes like Darkness and Subconscious out now, he's going to be playing up a huge set of demented and menacing tracks.

Listen to some of the recent tracks Virgil has released and you'll get a clear idea on what you are in for.

Industrialyzer has said to prepare for him to totally fucking destroy the place. Ricardo has promised a 90 minute set of his more storming material, saying "i will start soft maybe at 128 130 bpm and will go up till like 137 :) ".

Listen to his new releases Barcelona, Plastik Gun and Prolific and you cannot dispute that this boy has some skills.

To follow the guys up, we decided to bring back MXML favourite Machina. Using a brand new performance rig, Yo is going to mix up the best of his tunes with the best the techno scene has to offer. Not to be missed.

To bring the night to a close, we are letting Matt Radovich do what he does best - Tear the place down with slamming techno. Matt is no stranger to MXML and has been asked to play a no holds barred set of killer tracks.

To provide a change in variety from the techno assault, we have the gang from Phonetics running the front room, playing the best that dubstep and drum and bass have to offer, all night long. This is a very strong line up of great DJs in this room so don't miss checking them out.

Don't miss out on this one people. Tickets are available now from Moshtix: http://www.moshtix.com.au/event.aspx?id=39404 for only $25+ BF.

To help get you in the mood on the night, our friends at Miss Libs are putting on $5 Awga and $5 Jägermeister shots from 10pm - 12pm. I expect to see many a punter with a nice warm chest with these specials prior to our Internationals hitting the stage.

Don't miss your only opportunity to see a techno line up like this with two new international tourists platting live in Australia for the very first time.

For a line up like this, you can't go wrong.

Love

Techno Viking
