both fronts, representing on some of the top labels in the game including V
Recordings, Good Looking and Hospital. With his name behind the legendary, It's A

now Portfolio, the d&b dynamo has utilised a full cross-over of followers from

***RAPID ACUISITION***

A random early morning encounter with a mate’s DJ set up, led to a four hour self lead crash course in DJ’ing. In that moment, Rapid Acquisition was born and another Drum and Bass journey was destined.
Finding himself hanging with the Inbound Drum & Bass crew (Adelaide), Rapid Acquisition quickly honed his DJ skills and fostered a deep love of Drum and Bass. With a liking for the deep, smooth and stylish side of Drum and Bass, artists like Fred V & Grafix, Technimatic and BCee are showcased regularly in his sets.
Now a Melbourne local, a part of the Dance Mission crew and a resident DJ at Melbourne’s premier Drum and Bass night Get Up Smashes It, Rapid Acquisition is hitting the scene hard. Passionate about tight mixing, seamless transitions, creating an uplifting and energetic experience for all involved, he never disappoints.

***A FOREIGN OBJEKT***

Born and raised in the UK, it was only a matter of time before “A Foreign Objekt” (AFO) would have an encounter with Drum’n Bass. But what he didn’t realise, is that when he did, it would impact him in a big way.
AFO first heard Jungle Drum’n Bass back in 1998 through his brother’s crew constantly playing it. This was “Tape Pack” culture and from there it was a quick transition to DJ’ing. At age 14 he acquired some humble belt driven decks. Progressing rapidly, the demand for his skills found him constantly spinning at local underground parties.
A natural progression ensued and AFO locked down a residency with the 12” crew gaining the opportunity to play alongside the likes of Drum’n Bass legends “Bcee” and liquid pioneer “Technicolour”.
Seeking out a fresh scene and now a veteran junglist, a vinyl connoisseur and digital DJ wizard, AFO moved to Melbourne and secured a residency at Melbourne’s premier Drum’n Bass night, Get Up Smashes It.
Enjoying artists like Break, Frankee and Bladerunner, expect phat rolling breaks, huge bass and pioneering music in his sets.

***JMC***

It started out as just a hobby in the bedroom, mucking around on my first set of CDJ 400's for hours and hours. The thought of playing at gigs had never really crossed my mind. Then one day I was approached by a well known promoter in Melbourne's dubstep and drum n bass scene. He had heard one of my mixes that I uploaded and demanded that I was to start playing out, so he booked me my first gig at All City Bass (Brown Alley). Since then, I've played at many gigs around Melbourne and Adelaide. I've supported international DJ's that include Liquid Stranger, Noah D, SPL, Bare and Downlink just to name a few.

***BREAK-FAST***

Backed by a few sideways ideas, an unhealthy obsession and somewhat encyclopedic understanding of audio, Break-Fast cooks up productions that incorporate ‘sometimes backwards’ acoustic gems and entangles them into the ever-evolving music odyssey known as Liquid Drum’n’Bass.
Break-Fast has developed his expansive instrumental repertoire over two decades, beginning with drums and percussion before adding Acoustic Guitar, Bass and Keys that he incorporates into his productions.
Influenced by artists both in and out of the dnb classification, he draws ideas to develop an individual sound from the likes of Etherwood, Lung, Nu:logic, Technimatic, BCee, Fred V & Grafix, LSB, Tokyo Prose, Mute Math, Hybrid, BT, Trifonic and The XX, to name a few.
Recently Break-Fast has completed his debut ep “Dying Eyes” and is working towards his first album release in the not too distant future.

***LIGHT FORCE***

New years eve, 1999, DJ Trace was playing the Auckland (NZ) town hall. This was where Light Force first experienced Drum and Bass. Instantly hooked, he bought a pair of Technics 1210’s, a mixer and headphones. From there his Drum and Bass journey began. Never looking back, he has been continually pursuing Drum and Bass, DJ’ing, promoting, production and performance skills.
Having competed in Rumble in the Jungle, supporting the likes of Shapeshifter and DJ’ing locally in the Auckland scene, Light Force headed to Melbourne in 2006 to seek out new opportunities and fresh inspiration. Instantly landing a residency at Melbourne’s iconic Workshop bar, it has been a steady progression from there. Performing across Melbourne and at interstate festivals, his newest residency is at Melbourne’s premier Drum and Bass club night Get Up Smashes It.
Light Force’s energetic, passionate and dynamic performance hits the mark no matter the slot or situation. Expect big things here.
