Dance Mission Sessions (FREE) Friday 15th May (Open Decks)

Post by Light Force »

DM Sessions absolutely smashed it last time around! With new to the crew DJs Sebastian, Daggers, Seiji & Teddy taking it to the next level.

DJ's, make sure you get in early if you want a slot! Last Sessions they were all gone by 8.30pm.

Going to be dope fun! Facebook event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1383641115299672/

Here's how it goes:

***OPEN DECKS***

On the night we'll have a white board with the following slots listed:

**Chilled/Liquid DNB Sets**
7:00 - 7:30pm - __________
7:30 - 8:00pm - __________
8:00 - 8:30pm - __________
8:30 - 9:00pm - __________
9:00 - 9.30pm - __________

**Liquid/Dancefloor* DNB Sets**
9:30 - 10:00pm - __________
10:00 - 10:30pm - __________
11:00 - 11:30pm - __________

**Dancefloor* DNB Sets**
11:30 - 12:00am- __________
12:00 - 12:30am - __________
12:30 - 1:00am - __________

*Dancefloor = Uplifting, energetic, driving Drum and Bass. Artist examples would be Netsky, Metrix, The Prototypes, Matrix and Futurebound, Fred V & Grafix, Camo and Krooked, Andy C, Sub Focus etc

It's a first in first served arrangement. So if you want a set, then YOU WILL (no friends writing names down please) need to turn up early and put your name down (Only once please, until everyone who's wanting to play has played). Also note the styles of DNB listed above the set times. The sets need to fit the vibe of what's going on in the bar, so please play to the crowd and keep the high fives flying ;)

***EQUIPMENT***
Will be 2 x CDJ 2000 Nexus, DJM900 Nexus, RCF System.
The easiest and best way to DJ with this equipment is via USB and Rekordbox. If you don't process your music through Rekordbox first, waveform, cue points and BPM information will not show up.

Rekordbox is free, and easy to use. Also the CDJ2000 Nexus's have full wave form display, so in comparison to Laptop based systems, visually there is little to no difference. For our events, this is the system we will be encouraging everyone to use due the it's reliability, ease of setup (there is no need to plug/unplug any cabling or incorporate third party hardware/software).

Keep this in mind when making your decisions about the system you choose to use. It is a factor we take into consideration with support DJ's for our other events.

Rekordbox is easy to use with great functionality. You can check it out here:
