we gots a room (joe sevens old rooma actually) in beautiful light and airy house in ascot vale (pretty much 10 minutes past north melbourne if you take the 57/59 from Elizabeth St)

it's about as far away as brunswick and much less annoying to get to because the tram/train is so quick
it takes me 25 mins bike to get to melb uni; 20 mins tram and 10 mins train

plus house is gorgeous; clawfoot tub; fireplaces in every room that work; carpets; central heating; dishwasher; off street parking; massive backyard

680 pcm and 680 bond

to live with 2 chicks and a cat

Me and my lovely lady are on the hunt for a big room in a house with some awesome creative, fun-loving types, in the CBD, Fitzroy, Carlton, Collingwood areas or thereabouts - is that too much to ask???? We have 2 weeks to find a house so if you are looking for chilled, house trained flatmates or know someone who is, PLEASE let us know!!!!

my mate and his missus just bought a beautiful 3 bedroom cottage with 1/4 of an acre of land for 270K in the Yarra Valley.

45 mins from Flinders St on the train.

fuck that!

$270k is great. but 45 mins is way to far for me. especially when you often have to wait up to 40 mins for a train on that line...

My workmate travels from Hastings everyday. 2 hours of public transport and waiting each way.

ARGH!!!! rental market evil!!

Went looking at places today, was sposed to view 7 in total. First one the agent had the wrong keys, second one turned out it was a fair bit further away than I thought so I missed it, 3rd one was meh, 4th one again agent had wrong keys, 5th one the agent didn't actually stick around for the open 15min time waited 5min and then fucked off. I actually seen her get in her car and drive off. At first I thought she was just going to wait in her car so I didn't want to yell out as I was about half a block away but no she drove off. next one was good thank christ and last one had actually been leased the night before they had stuck the sticker on the sign out the front but didn't bother to take it off the website or anything even the lady in the office had no idea.

grrrrrrr...... so annoying....and to top it off our current landlords are deciding to sell out unit which just add's extra pressure onto us now.
The fridge is angry, the cheese told me so.

Watch out for the penguins, they are comming
