what did they do? get married?

I moved house this weekend. As apprehensive that I was it was going to be hell, it was surprisingly ok.

new house is so much better and bigger than old one, and neighbourhood peaceful.

can't wait to get in my new studio and on the beats again.

this is good, but i would like to see more judges handing down sentences that are closer to the maximum. the maximum penalty for rape is 25 years, why on earth do we keep reading of sentences being handed down to rapists of only 6 years or so???

my cynical nature lends me to two thoughts:
  • Bill Gates is trying to get a legacy beyond being known for price fixing and BSODs
  • Charity is often given anonymously and has large tax incentives for the wealthy. While Steve Jobs is an infamous hard arse in business, as is Bill Gates, I would be extremely surprised if he didn't donate a sizeable amount of money to charity annually.

My problem with Gates is that he is trying monpolize everything.
Giving away free licenses to his stupid software aint exactly costing him anything if they couldn't afford topurchase the software in the first place.

compared to Apple?

Gate's approach to business, which he freely admits, is anti-competitive. Apple by comparison are a very insular company who have not (until recently) outsourced much, if any, of their physical production.

As for his "trying" to build on his legacy?

I'm not sure about that either, Microsoft's technological innovation is already unrivalled but I think he really wants to achieve more from a humanitarian point of view.

I'm not saying he's a saint, but he's a true philanthropist with great integrity IMO.

Their Wiki entries say a lot really...

Really? He must have been a REAL c*nt before that then.

But seriously, both Gates and Jobs have reputations for being very demanding employers, and are known for publicly humiliating subordinates.
