Nah, the Audit process is transparent and is overseen by the EPA. Auditors are independent assessors who have to jump through a gazillion hoops to prove that they are able to provide objective, independent assessment, and if they don't comply they have their status withdrawn.

started new job today, everyone so far seems well nice

weird fricken systems though, and i miss my old work buddies

already had them all emailing me this morning and bumping into them downstairs, they all keep saying "come back!!"....i just might if its a different team and more money. Will see. Should give this a go though.

knew you were home soon! Was thinking about you yesterday and wondering what the actual date was.

think i made the wrong choice in moving to accounting, but at least it can be fixed. Trying to be optimistic about stupid choice. But would never have known had i not given it a try

Heh, I was moaning about hating research to a very non-academic friend and he was like "Erm, don't you think maybe you're in the wrong line of work?" I started to say "But the good times make it worth it", then pulled myself up, realising I sounded like a DV victim. Scary

. Mind you, coming up with this analogy has actually given a tiny bit of leverage for dealing with it - it's easier to pull yourself up on ridiculous accommodations if you couch it in these terms.
