Very good documentary on the drug war, covering the social, financial, military sides of the story. Features Jello Biafra, Freeway Ricky Ross, former DEA Agent Celerino Castillo and Mike Ruppert.

wow, I was right about something (call Guinness). He mentions that his friend died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 32, brought about by his heavy smoking. Then later Kevin says "...after my friend Bill died..."mixtress wrote:Sacred Cow Productions? Isn't that Bill Hicks' old company?
I'm kinda glad he didn't actually mention Bill, didn't blag the name.
I really enjoyed that. Well done Mr Booth

For those who can't be bothered with the whole doco, skip to part 4 and part 6.
It's very important to understand that the stock value of private prison corporations goes up according to the number of people in their prisons. Wackenhut, the company mentioned in part 4, is the same company that brought us the Woomera and Baxter detention centres here in Australia.
And in part 6, we get to see Mike Ruppert totally shame CIA Director John Deutsch in front of a crowd of black people who want answers as to why their streets are full of crack.
As a further note, John Deutsch later joined the board of directors of Citigroup, who went on to purchase Banamex in 2001. Banamex was Mexico's second largest bank and notorious for drug money laundering. Its owner, Roberto Hernández, was a known drug baron with properties all the way down the Yucatan Peninsula complete with landing strips, refuelling for boats, etc. Citigroup not only purchased a major drug dealing bank, but also put Hernández on their board of directors.
