yeah, i went to goodguys it was g00d. don't get it online! i remember someone here said digitalcentre.com.au was good (altho to be fair they just said to use them for a price base), and they did by far have the lowest price on the Samsung 6 series 37"

ended up getting at goodguys for the same price after cancelling my online order cos they were so damn slow.

so goodguys should be able to match their price too, unless you get a really bad/tightass salesman

highly recommend the samsung 37 tho - great price for features and picture. love the usb plugnplay, online widgets (youtube etc), wireless/wired net, general interface etc. prefer it to sonys that ive used

I just recently picked up a 46" Samsung Series 6 LCD from Harvey Norman for $2.1k. Came with a free 21" LCD too!
It's an absolutely phenomenal TV with heaps of extras and all the usual add ons. It supports network connectivity so iv got it hooked up wirelessly to my computer and can stream movies, music and pictures straight from my box. Really ace having a library of movies you can quickly drum up at the press of a button. It plays all your usual movie files along with Divx codecs, etc. Haven't had one problem with anything iv played through it as of yet. The upscalling on movie files is great too.
Planning to set it up as a media hub once i get a decent surround sound system hooked up.
The only bad thing about it is I cant stand watching anything on a small screen anymore - anything under a 40" and i struggle. haha

^ LOL. depends on the size of your living room i guess, 37 is huge for me.

yeah the features on the samsungs are great. haven't had a go at wireless streaming yet, used to do it to my ps3 but haven't found an app that works yet on my macbook to ps3

so might give the tv a go. does to work from mac?

only other issue is ive got a bunch of mkv HD/bluray rips which might not work, might have to convert em at least the audio from what ive read

I thought it was rubbish mate. I wish they'd bring DOA to PS3.

I'm loving having the PS3 online though - Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for mine.

the bigger the tv, the further you have to sit from it.

that seems retarded, unless you are going to have massive parties with at least 3 other people there you don't need a huge tv.
