Kill them. I'm all for just killing them.
Or drowning them out with something that listening to their tastes in music after awhile would obviously irk them at stupid hours. Wait til they've obviously had a big one and then hit them :D

As for dragging up something I seen from posts from Jan.
A LOT of places run where by you take the yearly amount and either divide by 12 to get the month or divide by 52 to get the weekly.

My weekly rent is 336 however my monthly rent is 1456
1456*12/52=336 thats my week. I just pay fortnightly mind you so eh

I know health insurance sure does it, you can actually pay your health insurance 4 weekly OR monthly.

Wow took me ages to find this thread.

This is an exceptionally long story btw

I live in a set of 2 units, we both pay for our water and the way it works is theres 2 meters the one at the front of the property and one just before the 2nd units, the way the water bill is calculated is they read both and subtract unit 2 from unit 1. Unit 2 pay for their reading and unit 1 pays for the left over.
2 months ago I got sent a $711 water bill, called up turns out there was a leak at the property somewhere, bill gets put on hold until leak is fixed and then they adjust my bill based on previous months water bills.

Problem is is that the leak is between the 2 meters but happens to be on a part of pipe which is apparently the responsibility of the real estate who manages unit 2. Different real estate to mine.

After spending 2 months making phone calls emails loosing my poo it FINALLY got fixed 2 Saturdays ago. This was not without issue after being woken up at 7.30am to a jack hammer on a week day 8am on a Saturday and having my water turned off half way through my shower.
Having my driveway blocked off using my own bins because they re-laid cement down without telling us so we could make alt arangements for the car.
Well yesterday I get home to find a letter from a debt collection agency.
Apparently the hold came off my water bill without me knowing because it had been on hold for 2months and the water company sent it to the debt collection agency.

In order to get the bill adjusted I need a letter from the plumber to state there was a serious leak and that it has now been fixed, still yet to receive this even though I've asked for it multiple times and my agent is well aware that I have a $700 bill sitting there that I'm not paying because it's not my fault a pipe underneath the driveway burst in 2 spots.

I just spoke to my agent he said he would "look into it" again. Which is his answer for everything when I call him asking for something to be fixed.

Is this worth taking further?

Don't speak to your agent, send them a letter.

That way they are legally required to respond in a certain number of business days.

call agent back and say you will be sending a letter detailing what has happened, and then contacting Consumer Affairs Victoria to speak about taking action due to a listed problem that falls within an emergency classification.

OK So I sent a letter to my agent and also the senior property manager at my real estate telling them everything that has gone on and that I want the leak notice by today, they should have it by now really considering the leak was fixed on the 21st of May so nearly 2 weeks ago. and technically is should have been fixed nearly 3 motnhs ago :(

send registered post. my housemate, when engaging our agent to do anything, hand delivers a letter, registered posts a letter, calls and emails.

only way to get shit done. rental agents are the worst kind of people.

My previous agent was amazing, she'd ring me on saturdays cause she'd driven past my house and remembered something she needed to tell me or remembered she missed a call from me, was really helpful etc etc.
She left and went to some real estate in box hill :(

This new guy annoys the living shit out of me. No idea why, he kinda did from day dot when I found out he had taken over but now its even more so.
