GOTD: Played poker last night with supposed "MATES" when i noticed one guy push the pot across the table and then he sat on his hand funny as though he stole some chips... I couldnt see the chips so couldnt say anything coz i wasnt 100%

THEN i wake up this morning and my gf says that one was dealing from the bottom of the deck and another was looking at the flop before dealing it and if he didnt like it he was putting them to the bottom of the pile... and she said he was also looking at the burn cards and showing his gf who was also playing before he`d burn it.

Got done $40 i dont care about $40 but i am so fucking pissed that supposed mates would rip me off like that! cunts

Massive bout of gastric stuff today :smt078 Very unhappy about it.

Almost over it now though, which is a marked improvement over my last bout, which lasted 3 weeks and left me 10kg lighter

Keep it away from the nappy san or oxy wash products if it is a dark colour. :( We had a wash machine overflow incident in our house recently and my good towel hit the floor to stop the water running onto the carpet. The Oxywash in the machine helped slightly bleach my lovely charcoal bathsheet. Never the same again

GOTD - My neighbour. Why does he feel the need to talk so loudly at 3.30am on a school night that I feel like he is standing next to me shouting, not in the next house?!!! He makes my blood boil. I want to smack his dreadlocked hippy head and tell him to STF up when people are trying to sleep. Consider your neighbours dude!

RB almost did that once because in the past when he's been having domestics with his girl he's gone out the backyard at 4am to have a yell..... awesome when we have a laneway with about 6-8 properties backing onto our yards, so EVERYONE can share his pain.

I've been next door once before to ask them to speak quieter as it goes straigh through the wall. Made no difference. The dude looks scary and we now he's a ning-nong from hearing all his domestics, otherwise I'd have a word again. Worked on the piano player who used to live on the other side.

Not a gripe so much as a sad thing.... I am reviewing a manuscript which I accepted to do because I saw that the author was a young scientist I had met years ago when we were both doing our PhDs. She was from Uganda and studying in the UK.

I get to the acknowledgements in the manuscript and I read that the paper was done in memory of her, meaning that she died.

That's so heavy when it comes to doing a critical review. Makes me want to cry for her :(

Sydney is too expensive to responsibly buy into as well. The ROI is just crap.

Sexual harassment claim has been filed on site.

I am currently the only girl on site, surrounded by construction workers.

They all think it was me.

One swerved his mining truck towards me yesterday and made out like he was going to run me over.

Comfortable.

they've obviously put the claim in for a reason, but confidentiality ought to be respected until the investigation (if any) has been completed innit?

internets is capped. somehow we used 3gig over the past 24 hours despite computers being asleep for the vast majority of that period. no idea what happened there. A week till we get uncapped (unless it proves to be an error with our ISP *fingers crossed*)

I think what JBS is saying is that the manner in which the claim has been handled is equivalent to throwing the claimant to the dogs.

I don't think he is suggesting that the claimant be thrown to the dogs, quite the opposite I think.
