Hmm, you gotta hit the ground running, I think. It is really easy to get home and fall into the same old shit. You have momentum now - use it to make the changes that need to happen. Cut the useless shit out of your life and go after the things that always seemed out of reach/that little bit too hard. Right from the start, set yourself up with a new angle - don't wait to get settled to make it happen.

Melbs is full of possibilities - try not to look at it through the narrow lens of your old life there. Bestest changes I ever made were after getting back from months OS and being terrified of getting dragged back into a set-up that was way past its use by date.

there is a hairy grey spider about the size of packet of cigarettes living in our outside bin.

without contacting the appropriate spidey authorities I'm not what to do about his unwlcome tenancy?

I have contemplated pouring boiling water into the bin (too cruel), I have left the bin on its side, open for half a day (he didn't leave) and now for two weeks he has just stayed in there.

somehow even when the binmen come and collect the rubbish he manages not to get chucked in the truck!

he's resilient, I'll give him that.

Were you watching ABC2 the other week? Please tell me yes. I need someone else to laugh at that with.
Althuogh this does sound like a category 3 spider.

Hoenstly I'd just throw the bin away, contact the council tell them some punk kids melted it and get a new one.
I'm petrified of spiders. I can't go near them and big ones make me cry and run away screaming "RUN AWAY RUN AWAU"
Seriously I actually did tha tlast week on the gold coast when there was a big mother in my sisters house.

Seeing as I'm here. GOTD FUCKING PEOPLE RINGING UP FOR PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE Ok yeah it's my job to sell it but fuck me don't people go away for holidays or something, I just want a few minutes of a breather every so often would be nice :( So stupidly busy...

Spider Identification: An adult Huntsman spider may have a body length of up to 20 mm. It's the diameter including legs may reach 45 mm. The first 2 pairs of legs are longer than rear two. The Huntsman spider is hairy; buff to beige brown colour, with dark patches on it's body.

THAT IS NEARLY 2 INCHES FUCKING LONG LEGS WTF!!!! ok now I'm creeped out.. slightly jumpy urgh

able to move sideways at lighting-fast speed<--- see that is NOT COOL also I knew a girl once who's mother was all like "just walk under it, it won't fall on you" and what did the fucker do it fell on her haid.
I probably woulda fainted and thrown up and pissed myself all at once

KILL ALL SPIDERS, TRAIN CATS TO EAT INSECTS. PROBLEM SOLVED.

I would much prefer to look up at my wall in the middle of the night to see Fluffy the tabby sitting there eating a fly than I would an eight-legged freak.

If it was called a Huntschicken or Huntsdolphin or something then I'd probably have no problems in going up to one.

on a side note how cool would a spider that eats dolphins be.

LOL at spider disposal talk. my mum once took this farking massive one outside with SALAD BOWL/ magazine contraption, saving it from certain death. the next day it ran down her windscreen on the way to work and she nearly collided with a nissan urvan

that's what gentle environmental footprint gets you

i hate the thought of killing them but they freak me out too. :SHUDDER:

my mom jumped out of car going 60km's cos hunstman skittered across inside of windscreen.
i was around 12, and she just leapt out and i had to save the car.

she used to not let me go to school if there was one in the house, till i had pulverized it to smithereens. her fear came from brothers that used to hold her down and put them on her - mean!

i am now damaged, cannot handle them, i can have snakes draped all over me, but spiders make me a squealing girl.

Fucking hell, asthma sucks. Was chatting with some mates about it last night. Thankfully I've only been admitted to hospital for it once when I was about 4

Have you ever tried medication other than ventolin? Since as long as I can remember I've tried them all.....ventolin, bricanyl, flixotide, pulmicort and an array of others. Started using seretide in my late teens. Stuff is amazing. I take a single puff every morning and get NO SYMPTOMS WHATSOEVER. Without that daily dose, I struggle to run to the end of my driveway without working up a nasty wheeze and feeling as though my chest is about to cave in

Haven't used anything else in years, would recommend

Is seretide the purple one? My dad used to go through a centolin a week before his doctor gave him one of those.

WE're lucky here. in NSW you have to be a card carrying asthmatic in order to get a standard ventolin over the counter without script.
Literally an asthma association card...you loose it means trip to doctor or hoping you can find a chemist you've been to previously without dying where they have your details saved on file to be able to sell you one.

My dad once told me that if you can handle it smoking just pot no tobacco and sitting upright leaning on something soft can help if you're really stuck like at night time without one, pot forces the body to relaxes so you can learn to take shorter but slower breahts quicker without panicing and the being upright well yeah basic 101 asthma shit.
