Mercifully weak gripe for the day: upcoming trip to Chicago involves one of my bestest ladies, who sadly has incredibly unfortunate musical taste (where 'unfortunate' is a euphemism for 'kill it with fire'.) I have submitted that I will probably have to 'hit the clubs' with her (kill ME with fire!) but now I know there is a Diplo gig, I gotta find a gracious way of saying she cannot has my Friday night.

Holy shit, a dilemma that involves having a friend and going to a gig. It has been YEARS Image

currently sporting numerous UDI's (unidentified drinking injuries) including a very sore nose which the swelling isn't going down on and I'm starting to wonder if the bone might be slightly cracked.

need to start keeping a journal when drinking so that i can refer to it the next day and go "oh THATS how that happened".

Dunno if this is a gripe or a big up...

Just found out I didn't get a job for which I was shortlisted. In itself, it's not so bad (in fact, kinda rad, coz it was the other one in Oklahoma!) but being told that I am better than the person who accepted it is a bit shit. The other guy's supervisor "is very influential." :?

Ugh, stuff like this is a total headfuck. Is it better to hear "you are awesome, but yeah, no"? Or, "holy shit, you're really offensive/incredibly stupid/look funny, so Hell No"??

And why can I always has the former? :(

that doesn't sound correct. award intepretation is a funny thing, especially under a new system, so I would check the award and see if your interpretation matches your employers.
