Been years since I've played any online shooters (QIIIA being the last major one, apart from occasional TF2 dabbling).

Expecting to get reamed repeatedly and rage quit on first go.
Hahaha. Yeah its a little tricky at first but gets real fun and easier when you start getting upgrades.

I've been playing it when I get a chance, almost rank10 - Medic easiest to level up and get unlocks (drop kits, revive peeps, spam LMGs). Fun as. Assault also pretty easy and fun.

Holding off on SC2 a bit, just don't have the time atm well not to get decent at it...

Been playing it heaps myself too.

Leejay83 is my BFBC2 thing. Seem to be having the most success with Recon though.

anyone played civ 4?

it kind of suited me as I'm not so fussed on individual battle strategy, and like the whole evolution of knowledge and technology thing...

OK So managed to drag myself into a games store to pick up Reach (will fork over for a Legendary Edition later on).

Production values are as high as they've ever been with any Halo game. Cutscenes are cinematic, vehicle and weapon designs are very detailed even when compared to Halo:ODST. I'm also enjoying the varied colour palette as opposed to ODSTs grey grey and grey, or the shiny purple/green grass blue skies of the earlier games.

Soundtrack, as always, is amazing.

As an addendum to the above post: Reach is easily one of the most beautiful games I have ever played. Bungie really managed to nail a unique flavor with this addition to the series and it's a shame they won't be producing any more Halo games.

Zone Adrenalan on Bourke St have it for $79, $74 if paying by cash/eftpos.

Its an incredible game. I've been playing it almost non-stop all weekend, clocked it on Heroic and I'm about a third of the way through on Legendary. Its nice having invincible squadmates.

I HAS WIRELESS THROUGH HOUSE!!! whoop whoop.
So my new puppy ate my blue cable thingy that connects internets to computer.
One problem I have now is that I have an open unsecure network running around my house.
how does one fix this.
the modem is a d-link DSL2642B
No i didn't run the instalation dvd I just plugged it into my modem and then installed the adapter.
No I'm not telling you where I live so you can sit out the front and steal my internets unless you tell me how to make it secure then I may contemplate it.

No really though can someone who knoes stuff help please?

It doesn't have a little tab with info about the wireless part of it or anything like I was expecting... I AM RETARD~!

ok well, you said your wireless router was a d-link DSL2642B and im looking at a netcomm nb6. so im thinking you have the netcomm acting as your adsl router and the dlink as your wifi router?

netcomm nb6 does not have wifi as far as i can tell which is why you cant see any options for it. you will need to jump onto the d-link. it will have a different IP address which will be similar to the one you have there (192.168.1.1). it might be 192.168.1.2 or 192.168.1.254 or something. the last number will be the only one different. you might be able to check it thru the netcomm if you check connected devices or whatever.

if the wifi router is runnig a DHCP server (not unlikely lol) you could plug straight into it and get its IP easy.

Enjoying Civ V alot. The fact that you can't stack units combined with the new hex map changes combat a little, but I think I like it.

technology is pretty much the same. They have removed religion, espionage and corporations. The way that civics is done has changed, and they have added city states. In some ways it's a lot simpler, but it still has a lot of depth...

I'm still struggling with the use of esionage... but removing religion seems a bit confining, its an easy way to maintain early game peace

still the great people (religion) generally hasn't helped so far

enjoying civ IV - haven't played since civ II I think...

getting to just post industrial era, on top of the pack but with three friendly civs who all like each other - waging war on one might be easy enough but likely to open me up to attack on all fronts -

I;m wondering about dominance by culture or other means? haven't done this before, but is it really achievable or should I focus on getting military tech dominance and just going the warfare front? can espionage play a big part with friendly civs?

Picking up Civ 5 tomorrow for $54 which is pretty nice.

Finished Halo: Reach on Legendary yesterday. I think every 90 minute stint I've played on Legendary has netted me 100+ deaths. The worst was 150 in 90 minutes.

HDMI rocks.

Picked up Battlefield Bad Company 2 on the weekend - really liking it. More so than the latest Medal of Honour.

Do they still make Command and Conquer games? (for PS3).
