OK.

Well I still don't know if that Photoshop comment was aimed at me or not but if you think my photos aren't legit you're more than welcome to join me on my next late-night long-exposure mission.

AO, sure do. My tripod isn't very good though.

Down near the water there's usually lots of surfaces you can rest your camera on.

The supposed rule of thumb to avoid hand-held camera shake is to make sure your shutter speed is faster than your focal length. So for example, if you're zoomed out to 50mm, then make sure your shutter speed is faster than 1/50th of a second (say, 1/80). If you have a telephoto lens and you're zoomed out to 200mm or 300mm, then make your shutter speed like 1/400.

When you put them side-by-side like that they don't look so good together. Oh well. Next time.

I house sat for a friend of a friend in Brighton about 2 months ago...walked out of the flat in the morning and straight into this.

The guy was still there finishing it off so its all pretty new, looks amazing in real life (no disrespect to the photo DBoy!)

none taken bro, no claims to fame here. I have never seen anyone use the corner of a building like this, to such amazing effect, actually making it 3D in more sense than one.

Thanks guys.

Fents, yep I think you're right, although taken at the same location it doesn't quite seem to fit in with the other two when you put them side by side.

how does it work with fruit n veg though?
you'd still have to weigh those things individually?
or can you only get fruit n veg in pre-packed trays with codes on them if you want to use the self check out?? :?: :?:

You weigh your own, the bit on the left hand side is a scanner / weighing thing.

you put your vegetables on the scale and using the touch screen, pick what sort of vege it is and then bag it up.

Its bizzare..

The self checkout thing is needed coz British checkout dudes are 'orrible.

Yeah, I can't remember the last checkout person that was rude to me. Going to the supermarket is generally a pleasant experience for me, apart from the awful music they play.

I was unfortuate enough to work in one for a while. If you think its bad to hear that shit while you're shopping imagine working an 8hr shift with only 3hrs of crap music on a never ending loop, in the same order everytime. I makes u want to stab.

i think it's a case of being more cost effective. You pay one security to watch the self checkout stuff as opposed to 5 people operating registers. The people who will steal will steal anyway.
