BAN FACEBOOK?

so in light of what I have seen in the rags we call newspapers over the last couple of days, it interests me to see who supports a facebook ban?

it seems as if the media include a small paragraph on facebook in the majority of stories they publish. how can you deem facebook to be newsworthy?

and people setting up memorials for people that have passed... is facebook truly the place for such happenings? I believe that is just asking for outside interference, as much as the gesture is a kind one..

social networking and media is getting out of control and is becoming the bane of our meagre existence... why do we support such an intrusive monster?

I think face book is pretty much un-bannable

You could try boycotting it but I don't think it would be a very worthwhile endeavour....

You can't destroy knowledge in this day and age. It needs to be absorbed and distributed. Shared so that everyone appreciates the implications of it.

I suppose although not as physically potent in terms of technological achievement the internet is a bit like the atom bomb. It changed everything.

Censoring or filtering Facebook or the internet in general will only make the situation worse.

Kids wanna hate on Facebook or MSN? Let them. Their peers will arbitrate whether its acceptable or not. Social justice is more powerful than any legislation.

It's up to parents to monitor their children's internet usage and habits and take responsibility. It's a big bad world out there, and they gotta learn how to live in it.
