supermaxi: food is pretty damn good. i fact best desserts this side of gingerboy. fried custard and honey icecream nom nom nom

the downside was it is sooo noisy in there, and not very warm with all the bare walls and concrete floors. and the waiter we had was a rude asshole. when we complained he spent the next hour and half kissing our asses, which tbh was just as bad

would be interested to see what others think...

nice one fents!

had a pretty simple dinner last night, veggie schnitzels (bomb!) with mushroom sauce (just reduced the living shit out of mushroom + garlic + onion + half a bottle of red + loads of beef stock for about a year) and pearl couscous. nom. ash chevre salad was a bit of a letdown tho. :\

St Jude's wine cellar last night. We got a whole bunch of appetisers to share. Quite an eclectic mix of food... middle-eastern salads, zuchinni fritters drizzled in pesto, the sweetest prosciutto I have ever eaten served with an assortment of pickled awesomeness, a scotch egg, amazing tomato tart all matched with a shiraz from Tasmania... complete and utter W1N.

:retzielikes:

Finished off the night with a nip of single malt laphroiag at Supper Club. Would have been perfect we weren't facing a couple who had some fairly strong pingaz kick in in the space of about 15 minutes. One minute they were all civil and 'gosh, nice weather, eh what...', drinking cosmopolitans (for her) and rum and coke (for him), next thing they were dry rooting and were sucking face to the point of suffocation.
I wanted to be a hero. I wanted to be the center of attention. I wanted the glory, I wanted the fame. I wanted the pretty girls to come up and say, "Hi, I see that you're good at Centipede."
