Panama Dinning room on smith street.
We did a girly night there once, was amazing. we just did off the menu but they also do a set menu option thing for larger groups if you want to.

Was a really nice night out then just headed up to suede for more drinking of random things the bartender made for us.

I dunno about everyones budgets and size of group but I also love number 8 at crown, they have an outdoor section that is on the southbank which is nice too.

was going to a lamb sandwich tomorrow at the cafe but chickened out at the cost of lamb haha. pork on again tomorrow!

so out of these two, which would you prefer (if we do lamb at some point)

slow cooked lamb shanks (or shoulder) in a light stock, (maybe white wine and oregano, thyme etc), fried eggplant, roasted spanish peppers (or capsicum), sprinkling of fresh mint. all in a soft roll spread with spiced (garlic whatnot) labneh.

or!

lamb slow cooked overnight in a french onion soup. soft roll or croissant with butter and swiss cheese. served with a small amount of the lamby soup to DIP THE SAMMICH IN.

jesus! just make sure you only have one on at a time. that would too agonising a decision tbh.

This one, by a lot. Why for the 'soft roll' though?? Needs more rugged, manly roll.

Had the food and wine fest deal and it was just boring as feck tbh. Duck salad was passable but nothing exciting, main was basically an overcooked chicken maryland with some sort of cannellini bean mush, and the desert a pistachio creme brulee, which was the highlight. Seems like such a waste of an oppotunity to promote your restaurant to people that would otherwise not go, but won't bother going back.

Bompass and Parr at Espy.
  • Mad desert ballet candy floss hair 3 hr sampling rave.
  • Ate too much sugar.
  • Free flow bubbles though so that cut through it.
Highlight: Gin and tonic centre marshmallow
Lowlight: SUGAR RUSH'ED!

Would rave again.
