I really dislike Indian food at the moment (the moments lasted 3 years... dont ask), but I've had a craving for Lasee (sp?) lately. Anybody got any ideas on where to get a good one?

lassi's are sooo yum when done properly.

used to be a place on bridge rd, just down from church st., called Zezja - fantastic food, amazing lassi's ... they closed down years ago though :(

After reading about the Urban Burger on tiesday night I went straight down there. Was well wikked...... Except for one small thing.

If you are going to make the most kick ass burgers of all time GET SOME DECENT TOMATO!!!! I hate watery tasteless Bi-Lo grade tomato. I was like a bad Smith St souvlaki tomato. I just don't get it, why would you do it? It looks bad, it tastes bad, it IS bad. Come on guys.......

Why, Why, Why?

3-4 jugs are given throughout the night for different tasks, quite easy to win they are, and for 1st place there's a $50 drink card, free entry too.

Pig was good, no crackling tho... :( Plus it was already getting cooked when we got home from work, cheers heaps for the recipe tho, will definately use it next time.

also: went to the launch of the new espy kitchen, bottle shop and public bar. damn! they've done an unbelievable good job on the fix up.

but to the point.... as well as the amazing free drinks resulting in my serious hangover this morn they also had really really good canapes.

we were going to go out for dinner afterwards but were so full we couldn't actually eat any more.

those little arrancini balls they made were heaven! :D 8)

anyway. free lunch. never heard of this joint tho. any good?
upstairs or downstairs?

eitherway this place rocks!!

awesome food - a lot of seafood which isn't great for me being vego but the vego stuff they do make is incredible.

it's known in the music industry as a bit of an industry hangout... it's where a lot of the big acts are taken and a lot of lunch meeting making the big decisions are done there... :P ;)

If dudes have a hankering for primo steak, I recommend Vlado's on Bridge Road.

Its full of business men doing "deals" which is a bit off putting.

Definately the best steak I have had in Melbourne tho..

HAHHA. omg!

got there at like 1pm. 70 of us. had all the entres and a rad poterhouse with bearnaise (is that just mayonaise with butter??)

it was open bar. got a bit stupid by the time i left, which was just before sunset. i dropped my mobile in the ocean after a few too many caprioscas. (sp?). woulda of hated to be the poor guy making them. they had one kid just crushing ice the whole afternoon! hahaha.

i reckon we woulda clocked up at least 10 grand on the bill.

Homemade burgers. Radness. I add minced up semi-sundried tomatoes and olives into the burger mix. Pesto on a burger bun is a must.
