thats the 2brothers brewery pilsner, have heard its quite nice...tried their rusty pale ale the other night and god damn it was rusty. Belgian Pale ale. the blurb on the back of the label leaves a bit to be desired tho.

Tryed taxi a few times, yet to goto the 2 brothers brewery in moorabin or bentliegh but it's available at hobsons in Sandy and White Charlie on chapel street, heard a lot of mixed reviews from people but overall nice easy drinking beer

WARNING!

BEER GRIPE!

Amstel has changed its recipe or my palate has changed but it seriously tastes like shit. I used to drink it heaps when they were $30 a slab at Safeway and I bought another recently. Big mistake.

So I had a Matilda Bay lager of some sort @ The Local. Haven't heard of it before... and can't find it on their website.

As far as lagers go, it was nice - crisp, refreshing and with some sort of flavour I couldn't describe... but it was pleasant.

Didn't hang around too long though.

tried a hargraves hill esb in the bottle the other day, prefer it in the keg.

also tried a bridge road red ale was good.

white rabbit was nice too.

not local but had a rouge dead guy ale and it tasted like someone forgot the hops, all malty sweetness. then had an epic armageddon ipa and my god i was burping hops for days. after that we hooked into a brewdog punk ipa and although we had just had an epic the punk was chockfull of grapefruit! best two beers i've tasted in a long time. also had a bridge road single hop IPA (Galaxy hop) which was good but they needed to dry hop it a touch more.

He had 4 hand pumps.
Tried IPA, London Pride, and a bunch of others. He changed 2 of them all the time and kept 2 on all the time. Also had 2 sets of normal taps with Amstel, Kronenburg etc.

Just went to the most kick arse beer joint in Harajuku...........Harajuku Taproom

15 taps and two hand pumps

Nice contrast to the fast paced streetwear wank/schoolgirl fashionista paradise only metres away

Beers I tried were.........Angry Boy Brown Ale, Second Strike Apple Ale and Harajuku Ale (which was hand pumped)

All were fucking amazing. Woulda hung round for a few more if it weren't for the cheeky few beers over lunch I had already sunk with Hatsudai (who might I add is a total gent, big up Shannon). Will def be back for more before I leave Japan. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a quality, well pulled beer in Tokyo
