Useful/sexy Mac apps

Post by andy_hoffman »

Found some very well designed and useful apps on my mac lately. Seems alot more design goes into mac apps than those i've encountered on PC.

Anyway here's some of my favourites that i recommend.

CloudApp

Makes uploading files pretty damn easy. You can just drag the file up to the little icon in your menubar or you can have keyboard shortcuts set up for it.

Sparrow Mail

Never been a fan of Mail and Mozilla and any mail apps like that to be honest but this thing is so quick and very lightweight and super easy to use. Really well designed too.

Evernote

Awesome app for me as i'm hopeless when it comes to remembering things. I can put notes and whatever in it and take photos and stuff and have it all synced with my iphone so i can get reminders on either device. Dunno where i'd be without this.

Anyone else got any faves?

+1 to trash app

I also found 'big fart button' to be quite good

Cycles through some amazingly lush and realistic fart sounds. V slick interface too, the button works seamlessly. Would d/l again

does most of the things you would expect a dj software app to do. it's completely free. works with timecoded vinyl as well.

also available on PC and Linux

Friend who runs a blog posted this up yesterday

App is called Fluke and it lets you import .flac tunes into itunes without having to convert them to a loss-full (?) format.

nice solution to a pain in the ass problem with itunes.

That's awesome! Cheers :D
It's always annoyed me that iTunes wouldn't play my flac files.
