i have questions whether their technology is the 'best' ... if it was they wouldn't be going after small business ... they'd go after big advertisers.

you could learn google in a week if you spent time researching it ... it's probably worth going onto the google ad solutions site and getting yr head around it i reckon. search is part of what i do day to day but we handle the likes of ford, kraft, disney etc so they're big budgets, big campaigns and part of even bigger overall campaigns

in terms of progression - hrm, i think if you want out of where you are (and i can relate) then it is definitely an exit ... but the two jobs would be very different. do you want to sell by numbers ... i can imagine it's draining selling a product to people who may not need it. i think with this approach you can't do the ethical sell - ie, this will help your business bottom line and i put my rep on the line backing that claim.

i'd definitely ask questions around not hitting targets - as this directly affects yr income ... it's good before you enter a job to be comfortable about any potential obstacles you will face or any things you may not like about how they do things.

yes. I know they are completely different and that troubles me. my current job is not stimulating me anymore which is the main reason I want out, but I do love the nuts and bolts of what I do here, there just isnt enough scope for me within the peramiters.

I do best at things I love, I put my whole heart into them.
Its easy to get excited about music and art, whether im being paid or not.
But i just dont really see myself getting all hot under the collar and raving at people i know about SEM.
The first year of cold calling and the hangups WILL be really draining for me. I hated the brief stint I did in telephone market research.

I would never have gone for a job like this unless referred by my enthsiastic friend who also wanted out of the club life.

I just need an out from where I am, and really soon.

remember tho kitty - don't let the fact you want out bad guide you towards making a choice that isn't right (ie doing it to get OUT of where you are, rather than to progress to where you want to be). there will be loads of other opportunities

Never let it be said that pr0n doesn't promote growth.

yeah that was a major problem, and the fact that my website apparently sucks
well this might be your issue.

adwords can really work in your favour if you have a good back-end system/offer in place so you can afford to put a higher bid that your competitors and probably lose some money up front, but make all your profit beyond that.

say you see a car advertised for $20k somewhere, then you see if advertised somewhere else for $19k. that bloke is pobably losing money on the car, but he will be making money after he sells the customer an extra $2k worth of shit. and because he is selling the car for less he's gunna get all the customers in the first place. the $20k guy will be wondering what is going on cos he's thinking the other guy is obviously losing money so wtf?

adwords kinda works like that ime imo tbh :teef:

I CANNOT BELIEVE im reading this. Im with deviant, you dont even deserve to go to Launceston. In fact YOU WISH you were from Launceston!

Smoke cones in skatepark across from Launceston College tbh. There is a small yokel hip hop scence in Launceston you would like, and its 2 hrs drive from Hobart imo.

Do it, treat the poor philistine Launceston kids something better than making homemade speed with uncle henry up in ravenswood, they dont normally have tv or speak english either so your presence would be a godsend tbh.

I think an email would be better than a phone call.
I always wonder about the protocol on this one too.
I usually pussy out and leave it, but it's probably better to follow it up.
A week isn't very long if there were 100 applicants and who knows how many interviews.
Don't start getting worried that you haven't been successful.

Applied for another job at the Red Cross today. :D Better chance that the last one I reckon. Not as awesome, but same department, just lower ranking job. Bring it.
No luck with World Vision either (secretly happy about it tbh).
