Makato & MC Deezim (sp?)

Post by stovequeen »

Well....

Remember when these guys played last in Melb, supporting Buken & Conrad? Some would say Makato was boring as fuk.. and i would agree .. Deezim.. was good tho.....

Well.. im a firm believer in second chances... and man was i blown away by both of these guys over the weekend.

If by some chance they are bought to Melb as a side show to Science Fiction..they do yourselves a favour and go see em!!!

They played one of the most rocking, pumping, sexiest sets i have seen in ages. twas moist!!

IMO:

Nookie is a far better bet if anyone is going to book a GLR DJ.

Makoto as a DJ has the all the thrill and excitement of week-old International Roast. it wouldn't be so bad if his tunes were still on point, but this liquid junk trend has gone on for too long now.

Deeizm wasn't too bad as an MC - especially when she started singing, just needs work on the lyrical content.

Deeizm - a few times between 1994 and now, but only once since signing with GLR. that was part of the GLR tour she did with Makoto, Bukem and Conrad promoting Makoto's LP.

Makoto - about 5 times now.

Hey, it's all good Stovie. The policy regarding links to other dance music sites is very relaxed (read: there is no policy, hehe).

no problem at all. glad you enjoyed the set. :)

I'm just chucking my 5 cents in. there's plenty of people who like the *new* GLR sound out there. ;)
