Do you wanna stream them or save them?

For streaming you can use Realplayer (of course), or Windows Media Player Classic you get with the Ace Multimedia Codecs Pack that's "around".

For saving - StreamBox VCR is your friend 8)

What application are you trying to use to open the .ram file?

By the sounds of it whatever you're using to launch the file has got the wrong application associated with the .ram extension.

That or your Realplayer's buggered...

I recommend not installing Real Player.

It will rape your computer. You can't seem to remove it from the system tray and it buggers up all your audio file associations.

I have a feeling there's other non-intrusive programs around that will let you listen to real audio streams. None spring to mind though.

ive never had a problem with real player. you can configure it so all it does is provide the codecs.
