based on anything or just a gut feeling?
They have some big names out, Scarlett, Ling, Johnston, Ottens and i reckon the rest of them will be still sore from the saints game.
Brisbane can play well, its their home ground, just think they will get up.

Good logic.

Would be good to see, although I just don't know if Geelong is bad enough to lose two on the trot.

Exactly.

Whilst Al's reasoning has merit... and Geelong will be sore from last, week - they're pride will be even more sore IMO.

Some of the panalist on the footy show last night were also tipping the same, with Scarlett out who will stop Brown and Bradshaw? Geelongs forward line is struggling at the moment too with Johnson out and Hawkings not up to scratch, Mooney is a confidence player and that took a bit of a hit last week. In the middle, their best tagger Ling is out and ruck Ottens. Will be a good watch.
Even though my team is doing shithouse (to say the least) im loving footy this year!

Kind of lucky you're a Richmond supporter.

Shithouse second half.

Throw just one of Cousins, Cotchin, Richo, Brown or Bowden into the mix and it would have been a win IMO.

well, GAblett may be out, seems he strained his injured calf again at training yesterday, Steve Johnson is also in doubt, he has to have a fitness test to be included in the game and even if he does, he may not be up to his usual blistering form.

I wait and hope.

the Geelong Hawks game was awesome. Shows how much can change in football in 30 mins

At 3 qtr time many thought the Cats were exposed and the Hawks would really play a role in the finals with a late season streak

30 mins later the Cats have pegged back a 28 pt deficit to show they are far from a spent force, and the Hawks finals chances were over.

Still think the Hawks might be able to take the Saints at Aurora ....

Geelong didn't win that game, Hawthorn lost it (sound familar    )

but yeah heart stopping game, Young Kennedy should have had a kick at goal instead of passing it off to Franklin who then got gang tackled, Roughead too was dissapointing.
On the other side, Selwood is just a gun, much more influential than Ablett on the day. Well done cats, hopefully we will see you again in the finals, which we are still a very good chance of making with Essendon losing yesterday, we need to beat Port in Adelaide this week and Saints in Tassie will make it easier, hopefully we will see some big names back soon too like Croad and Dew to help us with that task.
Carn Hawks, don't give up yet

And RIP to the bloke who died from falling down the stairs at the MCG, horrible.

Great game, but yeah, dissapointing.

We're far from a spent force, which is good to see.

good to see you pop up in here.

I didn't get to see too much this weekend, and I didn't want too after the Blue's demoralising loss on Friday night.

7 out of 8 though....

not bad.

Geelong v Hawthorn was the first time i'd been to a game in over 10 years and holy shit! I could almost become a fan. Talk about tense...especially being with a bunch of Geelong supporters and next to the biggest bogans and raspiest vocal freak i've even seen. Def a Corio resident.

Cracking game. I was nervous as fuck and I couldn't really care less about football.

Would go again. Good times.

Cun Ties!

Tiger cubs looked the goods yesterday... Cotchin (superstar in the making), Edwards, Tambling, Vickery, Post, Nahas, Polo and Daledio are the future of this club. Whilst there's still a shitload of improvement to come, the signs are looking promising. The Tigers play a much more exciting brand of footy under Rawlings, I reckon he's in with a good chance to get the gig next year.

Can't believe the spanking the Blues got on Fri night. They actually had more inside 50's than the Pies.

And Haw v Geel, great game. What a finish! And that bloody female commentator was the worst I've heard for some time.

Can't wait to see him lay some tackles.

Bloke is reported to be on $750K next year... outrageous money... Gold Coast have taken quite a gamble on him, gonna be interesting to see how it plays out.
