and a bit of Last of the Mohicans i thought as well

watched lots of movies over the break. see if i can rememeber em

Step Brothers - damn funny. well worth a watching.
funny quote - "I’ve got a luscious V of hair going from my chest pubes down to my ball fro!” gold!

Avatar - what a world Cameron created, but yeah the story was pretty simple. But i guess that works cos you really just focus on how fuckin cool the world looks and wishing you were on acid watching it

Transformers 2 - wtf???? Seriously Michael Bay's obession with Megan Fox was so fricken obvious throughout the whole movie it was like ewwwww desperado much dude. Also the racist robots were fricken random and i am surprised more people havent said something about it.

17 Again - watched this well hungover with my mate. It actually had some funny lines it and i didn't have to think. Yay for crappy teen movies.

Australia - i reckon they should have said Part 1 and Part 2 cos the story made this massive change about half to three quarters of the way through. Very strange i thought. Not bad all in all, but you have to be in the mood to watch it i reckon

i swear i saw other movies but can't think of them right now. Will report back later when i do think of em....

Wat a fucking awesome movie!! you can just imagine how much fun Drew had making it. Juliette Lewis is still so dam hot. And aside from the obvious that I now REALLY want to join and play roller derby, I loved every minute of it. :smt007

My sister and I wanted a light hearted romp to watch so we borrowed The Ulgy Truth with Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler. There's 2 hours of my life I want back. One of the most ridiculously sexist movies ever made, not counting porn. It basically expressed that women must change themselves (ie: slut up) for men b/c men are beastly and not capable of evolution, and need to have their baser instincts pandered to in order for a woman to achieve her life long objective, which is to get married.

I feel like spewing just thinking about it.

lol i saw that one too, and at the fricken movies! i paid good money to be treated like women are second class to men. It turned a bit at the end, but fuckin hell, it just gave off totally the wrong views. way to take a massive step back

watched Public Enemies last night. Johnny Depp is well hot. That was about all i really liked in that movie. Far too disjointed and it seemed like it was the Directors first ever movie made and he had a big budget so made some pretty shots but didn't really know how to edit or anything. very odd i thought.

thats terrible and I agree completley sexist

to think that they dare portray men as only interested in women who tart themselves up, when we are also very interested in things like their cooking and cleaning abilities, and also how often they put out.

disgusting.

must watch review of the Phantom Menace.

Watch the posted video on YouTube.

Heres a page with the lot: http://techland.com/2009/12/16/the-best ... ever-seen/
Okay, so 70 minutes might be long for a movie review, but I promise you, this is worth it.
A seven-part series recently posted on YouTube by comedy writer and filmmaker Mike from Milwaukee, Wisconsin just rips apart Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace by pointing out the countless plot holes in the first Star Wars prequel.
The voice of an old, slobbering man with a speech impediment (and as you'll later learn, other mental issues), explains the lack of a central plot or main character, the utter uselessness and confusion that is Qui-Gon Jinn, the failing wisdom of the Jedis, "why are we listening to this 14-year-old girl with no military experience?" and other things we've all noticed but haven't had the strength to think about since we first saw the film.
It makes you angry all over again, but at least it also makes you laugh.

Kitty is a friggin legend! She came and trained us in Bendigo with Skate Bush, Tarzanna, Miss Hell and Shane. One of the best skaters i've ever seen, and really down to earth, great teacher. I have a derby crush on her!!

Watched this the other day as well! I thought her daughter's comments were telling...she was basically calling everyone who drools at the feet of her mother a moron. Wintour appears very cold, and uses body language to dictate how other people behave. If she's not interested she just sweeps her hair in front of her face and that seems to shield her. Or she'll make a comment and then turn away, not giving the recipient a chance to respond.

I think Grace, the fashion stylest, had the most talent. Her imagination seems boundless, and it translates to the models and the photographers very well. Anna just seems to be a yes/no person, not creating or innovating at all. She gives her opinions on other people's work and gets all the credit for the outcome. She has a tremendous eye for fashion but I was more interested in what Grace had to say because she seemed more real, more in touch. Having said that, Grace appears to be a bitter cat lady.

so I know im late off the mark but Avatar was pretty awesome.

loved the main dude - hot. and the blue girl. also hot.

great story line...and man, the fluor land made me SO happy!
also liked that Sigourney was the cultural expert of the beings - contrast to her alien days.

BUT - imax is shit. overrated tbh, and oversold. never again.
