so handy for a makeshift DJ, fit it, and my computer in my backpack, and AWAY>>>> you go.

You sir, are a diamond in the rough. Well done.DBoy wrote:when i say downloaded, i mean itunes. I always pay for my music.
We're a rare commodity these days.
PS: you should check out BigPond music bud. Cheaper than iTunes and you can get 320kbps MP3's with no copyrite lock on them. Decent range too. Quick downloads, but the site is a little cumbersome.... check it out.

Re: THE THURSDAY THAT WAS A FRIDAY!
Better than lugging all the stuff I had to last night for my cousins 16th (YES, a 16th)
God, I sounded like a theif back then didnt I I do end up buying it, just takes me a while to get it all. If I listen to it more than 4 times I have to buy it.
Realising how much better it is to just download instead of having a bulky cd cover, and loads of em.
Re: THE THURSDAY THAT WAS A FRIDAY!
for sure, only been really into it in the last few months since i got Torq running with the exponent. Still got over 50 tracks on my wish list from Itunes, so going to be a while before I get all them...
On that note wish there was a way to make a wishlist on itunes, would seem like a fairly simple procedure, instead i have to write them down.

Re: THE THURSDAY THAT WAS A FRIDAY!
LMB - yeah so fuking handy. And when you think about the price difference.
2 x cdj's + a mixer not going to come in anywhere under $4000 or 5 really.
I spent $500 on that puppy and it has all the functions i need and then some.
Not the best quality, but for me, mixing at home or at bbq's or whatever, does the trick.

Re: THE THURSDAY THAT WAS A FRIDAY!
I still prefer CD's to downloads.
At least with a CD you've got a backup after you've ripped.
And hitting up second hand CD stores, or JB's cheap bins you can cop whole albums for $5-10. Pretty sweet if there's a few decent tunes on there.

Re: THE THURSDAY THAT WAS A FRIDAY!
For sure, but most of what I get on the DL is EP's and not out on CD here. I still buy CD's but not records so this is the only option.
My old CDJ's had totally had it and I havn't used decks in a decade.

DBoy: not sure if you saw my post above... give BigPond a look dude.
I don't work for them
Just a recommendation.

Re: THE THURSDAY THAT WAS A FRIDAY!
Yeah, like a shopping cart of something that you fill and then select what your buying each time. I wish beatport had that... i go mental and then realise ive racked up $400 of tracks and have to cull. Surely there's a way.... we dont need to use pens anymore!!!
This is true Direkt... new stuff tho I like to save $5 on the lack of plastic, better for the environment and my spaceless cd tower thing! I think weve got about 3 copies of our itunes library around that the moment. Backup for the backup for the backup! Going to get an external hard drive soley for itunes, not risking any of that shit. Scares the pants of me.

Re: THE THURSDAY THAT WAS A FRIDAY!
Yeah for sure, that was my response about having another 50 tracks i want to get from itunes even at the moment. but will look them up on bigpond see the price difference etc.
Re: THE THURSDAY THAT WAS A FRIDAY!
You can now... Go to your cart, then click "hold" on the tracks you want to buy later...Lil MiSbreaks wrote:Yeah, like a shopping cart of something that you fill and then select what your buying each time. It'd be nice if there was a hold button instead of buy, like on Juno - but hey, you can do it.
For sure. Gotta admit, I love collecting CD's, vinyl etc (something physical), so it's kind of win-win for me.Lil MiSbreaks wrote: This is true Direkt... new stuff tho I like to save $5 on the lack of plastic, better for the environment and my spaceless cd tower thing! They all look so nice and pretty organised dont they. I loved when I moved in with brb and got to combine the collections. Fuck, blew the space right out of the water!

How do you tell when a plane full of British tourists has landed? A selection of complaints from travellers from the UK
* We bought Ray-Ban sunglasses for five euros ($9) from a street trader, only to find out they were fake.
* The brochure stated: "No hairdressers at the accommodation." We're trainee hairdressers — will we be OK staying here?
* There are too many Spanish people. The receptionist speaks Spanish. The food is Spanish. Too many foreigners.
* We found the sand was not like the sand in the brochure. Your brochure shows the sand as yellow but it was white.
* We had to queue outside with no air-conditioning.
* I think it should be explained in the brochure that the local store does not sell proper biscuits like custard creams or ginger nuts.
* It's lazy of the local shopkeepers to close in the afternoons. I often needed to buy things during "siesta" time — this should be banned.
* I was bitten by a mosquito — no one said they could bite.
* We booked an excursion to a water park but no one told us we had to bring our swimming costumes and towels.
