Blasphemy!

1. We do not have cookies, we have biscuits
2. Most of them are not based on shortbread
3. Tic Tocs are plain biscuits that have some sort of hard icing/sugar concoction on them that is either strawberry, vanilla or BANANA flavoured.

yeah and no jaffa cakes. pretty shit selection tbh although tim tams make up for a lot. ;)

The Arnotts chocolate assortment tray is doing my head in. Every type that they include is aces with the exception of "Gaiety", which is without a doubt the FA1Lingest attempt at tim-tam mockery ever to grace the shelves of Coles (even including the Bi Lo pretend budget version "Timmy's Biscuits"). Why build a sub-standard tim-tam and give it the WORST name ever when you own the rights to the actual Prince of Biscuits? WHY?????!!?? It is like Aston Martin branching out and getting themselves a slice of the Mitsubishi Nimbus market, including marketing by Bert the human contraceptive Newton.

tic toc's are the bizness  LOVE!
monte carlo's, kingston, scotch finger and those ones with hundreds and thousands on them are all very good (the ones they used to sell at Pizza Hut)

I used to eat a whole packet of Arnott's assorted cream every day at work. I now have 2 less teeth. Had to stop eating biscuits after that :(

...unless there's floss nearby

And Mrs Fields Triple Choc chip.

The water is shithouse (as in, don't swim in it unless you want to lose skin) but the resort was nice.

my brother is a funny bastard...
in an email to [email protected] wrote:Good afternoon,

I would like to direct your attention to a quote I recently came across by you in The Age news (please see the above link). Is this quote correct?

"It's stupid and very, very unfair. It shows the sort of blind prejudice I thought we didn't have in New Zealand anymore. I'm not surprised the [owner's] Australian."

I will give you the benefit of doubt for a moment, and assume that your lack of surprise stemmed purely from the fact that you had been told prior to the interview that the owner was Australian. Though, why you would feel the need to point this out I’m not too sure – you could have just as well of stated any other number of meaningless facts you already knew to be true, like “He always likes to wear brown shoes”, or “He has a comb-over”, it would have been preferable; such an autistic-esque statement may have been reason for confusion, and therefore great mirth and entertainment.

In light of this logical discourse, I am leaning somewhat away from the hypothesis, and towards you making a blind prejudicial statement about Australians; in the same breath as condemning blind prejudice no less. If I was a motel owner, I certainly wouldn’t be banning rowdy people from my establishment, well, because I’m quite rowdy myself! In fact, I would be bouncing from the walls in mirth, my great big beer belly jiggling to’ and fro’ like some enormous abdominal balloon.

Is blind prejudice forgivable based on the fact that it is blind? I think so – and I hope that I have gone someway towards breaking stereo-type that you seem to have fixed in your mind about the many and varied people from our great nation.

With Gratitude,

Duncan Fardon

Poor form deleting RR's posts.

OTT yes, maybe even completely fucking bonkers, but it does raise some issues - some RR touched on, but more importantly why mods felt a need to delete stuff like that.

All big people here, and I for one hate the idea that people out there feel the need to decide what I need to be reading. It's a public forum, for Jeebus' sake - that shit will go on from time to time, and is to be expected. If he was banging on about irrelevant shit like how no one at Kmart will give him a quick reach-around, then maybe. But stuff relevant to the site and it's users should be left here, and us users have the opp. to post about it or let it die a slow death.

Censorship is a slippery slope, and is a great tool for generating a culture of mistrust.

:endrant:

Anyway, it's fucking cold. Hope you're somewhere warm. Watching Zac & Miri. Bit tryhard, but some good giggles....
