i entirely understand the cross breeds being called fancy names things...

i was about to say that i didn't understand it.
because people would call them muts and what and they would not sell for very much,
because they are not a fancy breed.

but then if you call it a fancy name you can say it is a "designer" dog, and sell it for the same,
if not more than a pure breed.

probably a good thing for the dogs though, so much inbreeding between pure breeds,
maybe it would also lessen the hideous deformities that a lot of tiny "cute" dogs have,
like the chihuahua needing a c-section every time because the head is way too big.
or whatever.
