Who Is Hot?

Post by DBoy »

I have dropped out of the loop in production terms.
I got through cycles, breaks, DnB, Hip Hop, I am a bit lost right now.

I am always on the look out for what is coming out as CD albums or if an artist I dig is bringing out a new releases in all the genres I listen too...
But I got to say, there is nothing I am killing for at the moment, no releases that I can't wait for, no artists that I wish would bring out something new.

Who are the superstars to you now?

There was a time when I could not contain myself if a new Icey album, or a new Heavy Weight Breaks album, or a new Nightlife was coming. But i can't think of anything right now that i'm stinging for. Maybe another Klute release... the new Shadow album got me bumping a little.

I am interested to know who the superstars are to you though, who do you count as the top of the crop NOW, not 2 years ago, but who sells albums, who is getting all the mix invites.. in all genres.

Nice thread D.

I'm really feeling Peter Paul right now dude. Spanish cat that is putting out some real quality. More toward the techy breaks sound but really clean production and on a similar tip Flack Su (brother of DnB mistro Chris) 8)

In my opinion the freestylers are "superstars" of the breaks scene. They've been making huge breaks tracks since day one and i'm keen to see if they can pull it off with the next album. From what i've heard of that Painkiller track they did with pendulum... well lets just say it's not looking good! haha
Standout artists for me at the moment are Rogue Element, General Midi, Flack Su, Control Z, Danny Byrd and Q-Project.

I reckon Vapour is really churning out the good stuff and has been for a little while.

Although I don't think you would like it Dboy.

chemical prob the best quickest way. I ahvent seen any cd's around any shops here except for 2 dubstep allstars cd's at JB, but thats mixed, and you want unmixed.

I got that skreamism sampler the other day and thats rad too.
