I think its pretty funny when i request to add someone, purely based on the fact that we are often at the same gigs, have 30 mutual friends, and i wish to book this person for a huge outdoor festival.

but denied!

fuck you then, no bookings for you!!

Just changed my language on facebook to "English (Pirate)"

Pretty funny actually!

My events are now called "Grog Fests" and my friends are "Me Hearties"

Now to work out how to change it back lol

this is a good example of why you should protect your privacy on Facebook.

People tend to look along the left side and the top of the page, which they have put the important stuff. There is less wasted real estate on the page.

People complain every time they change the layout. How dare they try to improve on that FREE SERVICE they are providing...
I reject the notion that Facebook is a free service. They provide a service yes, however in return we give them access to our personal information, which they then onsell to a variety of sources.

There is a transaction occuring, and there is actually an exchange of consideration on behalf of both parties.

Yeah I completely agree with you on that point, however, if you don't like the layout etc, you can opt out of the service altogether

Actually, if there is anything that people should be worried about in regards to facebook, it's their attitude towards the data you give them, not the layout.

I've massively limited my facebook usage, was using it waaay too much

Nobody can post on my wall anymore, and the only notifications I get are for events

TBH I wish I could just delete my account, but as this isn't possible I figure that instead of 'deactivating', I may as well use it for events/invitations
