We have plenty of posters to go up in bars and cafes to promote this gig and have done a rough list of people to cover specific areas as follows:

Brunswick- moi
Fitzroy- (Gertrude to Collingwood)- mrj, Sydney Rd- Shikung, Brunny St- JGal
CBD- Kev
Southside inc Greville, Chapel etc- BrB, LmB, Guyno
Westgarth/ Northcote- GK
North Melbs (Errol St, Vic St)- deviant. any other North Melbourners who can help out here- Stray?

I've applied for DJ'ing, door person and PR and was turned down twice and ignored once, even though I got in fairly early. Now I'm a little tentative about asking to help with the posters, like it's some kind of club I'm not special enough to belong to. I wanna help fucken!

Just to let you know, DJs put their hands up some time ago and others missed out as well. Really sorry about that.

There was a Fire Aid meeting which was posted up (all were welcome to come along) where PR stuff was organised, you could have come along and helped out.


I didn't see your name down for door list, but i think there is a late shift still required if you want to help out, that would be super!


there is no club at all, not where i am concerned anyways. its a charity event, the politics and bullshit can be left out of it.

Posted after Gnat mentioned they needed someone for the closing door hour and she said it was taken.

Advised BrB ASAP that I couldn't come to the meeting but was available to be volunteered.

I think it was just random events all linked together that kinda made me feel like I wasn't needed. Thanks Lizkins...

I'll try get some posters from Miss Libertines this week. So long as I can do something, I'll feel satisfied.

regarding DJ slots, there were different people in charge of organising the DJ's for each genre. One for DNB, one for Breaks, one for Techno etc etc. There are only a certain amount of slots to fill for each genre, so we're very sorry if you missed out

as Liz has just said, there is no private 'club', we want (& need) all the help we can get


I have just dropped off 100 posters to Plakket and they will also be doing poster distro for us. I couldn't find out the areas that they'll be covering though?

I'll be dropping off more posters & flyers at Miss Libertine tomorrow if anyone wants to pick them up from there.

If anyone can help with Southside postering I will have some at my house to collect

many dj's have missed out as expected, although all the 'i'll play' hands up were greatly appreciated, believe. the plan was to put dj's on the platters who would bring the most peeps through the door on the night i believe. Seeing we are appealing way beyond just mb this is just common sense, not a personal aversion to you or anyone else playing

re the door- you were not on the original door list hands up when i put it together. i accomodated everyone on that list and have since asked you to perhaps do the 10-12 shift with tash on sunday so she has company. quid pro quo..

postering is the biggest thing on the agenda at the mo for promo and PR. we would very much appreciate you being involved in this if you can. pick up posters at miss l's

i heard you have to pay though- like 20 bucks a poster or something.. so might need to check that out (and tell them to jam it up their jumper)

you know, i think that figure i gave you is for the poster boards aruond inside the buildings, which are property of the student union...

i think the giant poster poles in the open spaces are open slather

but i am not absolutely sure.

I've heard that you have to pay something like $20 per poster to have them up inside Uni's but not 100% sure if that's the case?

If you could do some shops & cafes that are close to the Uni though, that would be awesome!

Definately outside on the bollards is free! But is hit constantly by every poster company in melb, but is worth a shot, just dont go OTT!

I'm in Aspendale (read: Southland shopping centre)

I can't think of much around this part, because it's all th nepean highway with businesses advertising their own sales and shit (car yards, jb hi fi, stuff you can see from the road etc)

there are some small cafes and that in cheltenham etc.
