you may have noticed there's a warning screen up on the mb.c site. it's related to a cause that i feel very strongly about: internet censorship. you should go and read up about the topic if you get a chance.

apologies for any inconvenience this might cause you, but it's a very important topic.

I really hope this never happens but I also seriously doubt it ever will.

I already petitioned Senator Conroy through Get Up but this is what A1Studmuffin from here told me:
A1Studmuffin wrote:Australian internet censorship and the clowns behind it are a running gag... we've been here many, many times before over the last 15 years. It's never eventuated. Nobody pushing for it really understands what they want from it, how they can feasibly achieve it, or the technologies that will drive it... not to mention the general public actually DON'T WANT it. Sit back and watch the circus after you read this: http://dansdata.blogsome.com/2008/02/22 ... only-3000/

it's far more likely to happen now than ever before, mainly due to both the agreements that were made with family first during the 2007 election and kevin rudd and stephen conroy both being born again christians.

active protest will stop this from happening, as technically unworkable as it is.

I think if it will protect our children, then no one should oppose it.
