Yep i can duplicate cd's at work....i have a robotic duplicator load 50 cd's and then walk away, also prints as well...

But unfortuantlly my boss prob wont donate cd's or ink for the printing, but if we all chip in would only be about 50 - 70c a cd?

Just give me the go ahead all i need is a master version of the compiled cd, artwork and a deadline...

EZ

Mastering is happening over the weekend (to my knowledge).

An mockup of the artwork has already been completed.

BRB has a better idea of the deadline.

JB Hi-Fi has a really good deal at the moment for blank CD's with the white face (for printing on)

worst case scenario is we'll buy 200 of those and get a few peeps to help burn 'em

hopefully this won't be necessary

Sorry BRB - had a f^#k of a day at work and completely slipped my mind about dropping ya off a CD. I can drop it off before I have to go in and help out Worl Vsison with their call centre stuff for this big benefit gig they have on tomorrow (Saturday) nite. I can pop round between 2 and 4. Let me know if you still need it so I can call ya and drop it (da MC Wasp tune) round. I gotta get some sleep now anyway. I'll check the board round midday and give ya a call if still needed.

o.k, I have a comany willing to do about 200 CD's, but cost and time constraints mean we can only do a black & white (rimage) print on the face.

I also said that we'd add their logo and that the CD's were generously supplied by....

David, I'll shoot you an email about this shortly.

nice work brb... 200 is better then 0! Another possible $2000 to be raised...

Yep. We could always take orders for extra CDs if needs be.

Next issue, getting the thing compiled and mastered. BRB, is Mangan still cool to do this?

When do the duplicators need the final master?

200 from this company and I still have another 2 up my sleeve, waiting for a response. We can definately take orders for more, if people are willing to pay a deposit we don't have to rely on freebies and can get some duped straight after the party.

Mangan is still gonna put it together. He can have it done pretty quickly.

I told them I'd have the Master to them tomorrow and they said that will be fine.

still holding my breath for tracks from NuBreed (or a Dirty Fours track) and EK. I'll hold out till this arvo and then press the big green GO button.

I still think Lynt should give us one of his tracks   8)

Yo BRB can i get a master copy and artwork? I'll run up 50 colour ones, i'll pay for em...

Posted: Mon Jan 10, 2005 10:58 am
by breaksRbest
yes, they would look the tits

I'm sending him the colour mock up of the CD face and hopefully he'll see what he can do

otherwise, we can get Fents to do them or I just got a quote from AAV Regency (Australia's largest duplicator).......500 full colour CD's for $225 (or 45c each)

AAV Regency do CD's for all the major labels, so their work would be A1

so, it's FREE black & white CD's or we pitch in and rustle up $225

:?: :?: :?:

Jewel? Plastic sleeve?

Posted: Mon Jan 10, 2005 11:15 am
by breaksRbest
Jewel cases are an extra 40c. not worth it IMO

I'll find out about plastic sleeves.

can anyone get cases for Free??

(I'll also chip in some $$$ for the colour ones)

pitch in! pitch in!

you got $30 from me on the night if we go with aav. reckon it'd be much better to have full colour for the punters.

the plastic sleeves are an extra 15c, which brings the total to $300

I think we can raise that between us

Well done Glen !!!!!! As for one of mine, its tempting, but we want the CD to be memorable, not a coaster.

get those slim line ones ... with the black plastic back ... look suave.

Posted: Mon Jan 10, 2005 12:31 pm

they're too expensive, just going with the simple plastic sleeve that the CD is inserted into

EK has now donated a track for the CD 8)

I just realised, I have about 100 brand new empty DVD cases. We could do a Special Edition CD (the only difference being the cover it's held in.

$70 i think is fair. as fair as justice...
