Thanks to Vanessa aka Plasmo at TS they have now added Beat.Aid to their front page Hype section.

http://www.thescene.com.au/hype/2005_1_7_460.html

It's also news on RA today.

Has anyone sent the info to SaraBee for Tranzfusion? There is nothing up in their news or events section yet.

just send the information to anyone you can anyway, it won't hurt them to receive it twice.

There's no listing of beat.aid up on here yet. Just checked and wondered if anyone ended up emailing The Age? If not, happy to do so. :)

If anyone has any contacts anywhere, they should just send the press release anyway.

just in case they didn't receive it. and it can't hurt for them to receive it more than once.

A collective of dance dj’s/acts, promoters and the wider Melbourne dance music community have joined forces to stage an event in an effort to raise money for victims of the recent Quake and Tsunami in Asia.

Branded beat.aid, the night provides a stellar line up of international and local breaks and drum n bass acts. All those involved have generously donated their time, and the Prince of Wales has provided the venue free of charge.

An exclusive beat.aid CD has been compiled to commemorate the night. The CD will include a selection of tracks from contributing Melbourne breaks and drum n bass artists. This CD will cost $10 and will only be available for purchase at beat.aid, with all money going towards the appeal, so don’t miss out.

100% of funds will be donated to the Red Cross Asia Quake & Tsunami Appeal.

So show your support Melbourne and stand proud!

Friday 14th January

$20 on the door, however we encourage patrons to give generously.

quite shitty about it actually...no mention of who the money's going to, dj's etc. sent them the press release...looks like they had a jolly old time editting the main bits of info from it.

oh well...bit of exposure i guess.

i don't think you can get shitty at FREE editorial witty ...

Posted: Mon Jan 10, 2005 1:23 pm
by witty_pseudonym
not shitty as such shepherd...just more disappointed in that the piece for club evolution has a lot more detail. just wouldhave thought the same would apply.

but like i did say in my earlier post...it's all about exposure.

Posted: Mon Jan 10, 2005 1:28 pm

evolution may be advertising generally or may have advertised in the past.

remember tho - an event like that one isn't going to get any specialist press like itm/RRR etc etc
