not sure how else you'd do it, but is there to be no dnb before 3am?

dave, we want it to flow smooth from breaks to dnb, i think that goes better then dnb to breaks. You may disagree?

Id swap Kombat Bass and Fletch and Seven. Kombat bass are much better to bring it in and have Flecth and Seven close it off with some hard party stuff like @ 33 - IMO.

yep, noted.

I just spoke with Danny (NuBreed) and they can't do a VS with Phil coz it takes too much preperation and practice. the last time they did it they rehearsed for over a month to get it right.

however, NuBreed will be playing as The Dirty Fours (never been done!) and are happy to start earlier. it will be a bit more 'housey' than the usual NuBreed.

we need to start mentioning this in the press release and any promo we do if possible

maybe Tali after NuBreed?other than that...i'm salivating! (figuratively speaking of course!!) :D

yeah i think tali should definately be earlier....

sure she's dnb but she's got some downtempo stuff as well and will be quite a big drawcard.. some people who are into tali mightn't wanna wait til three for her to start. i agree with dnb being later rather than earlier but i rekon tali should be placed about 1am

my 2c

taken on board... but we need to remember that Tali needs to come after a dj as she and the girls need space on stage (as requested). Coming after a live act won't work on this.

I realised I missed BLIM

woops

so, we didn't really have an extra spot at all

we just culled half the acts to 45 minutes

gotta be honest, I don't really agree with 45 minute sets

Posted: Fri Jan 07, 2005 5:15 pm
by lynt
mate, its a mash up of music for a good cause. what do you suggest?

Posted: Fri Jan 07, 2005 5:21 pm
by breaksRbest
yeah I realise that.

I thought we had an extra spot, hence the thread. but really we didn't.

I'm sure they'll be o.k with it

heres an interesting idea... just keep going till they kick us out!!!
let the last part be everyone throws on a track or two at a time... EXTREME TAG-TEAM MASH UP!!!
Could make for an intersting night?

just a thought...

Fents and Fickuss (Kombat Bass) need to be before Fletch and Seven. The Kombat Bass boys are wicked with the liquid dnb whereas if Fletch and Seven plau like they did @ 33 1/3 its gunna sound weird. They worked well in that order at 33 and I really stress that unles the Kombat Bass boys are gunna play heavy like they did with us at Kryal, they should go before Fletch & Seven.

I've said my bit. Can't do more than that.

i think andy after nubreed is going to mess up the flow ... i don't think it's a good idea to put someone in at such a prime spot who doesn't gig that much ... whereas if you put phil k he will know exactly what to do.

i'd also switch tali and BLIM - reason being it's Tali's only gig from what I know ... and it's an encore for BLIM ... if ppl are going just for tali 3am is going to be too late for some.

just my 2c ... i know the scheduling would be difficult considering the timeframe and different styles.

That lineup has been rearranged several times.. it'll probably look a lot different Wednesday, except for Tali will have to be on at 2. So, if you can hang out til Wednesday-- we'll have it all sorted :)
