I just had a company offer us a 50% discount on a banner for the Dj desk. He said as an example, a 1m x 2m banner would cost $90... what do we think? We'll have to let them know so we can get it made on time.

OK, I am going to tell him to go ahead with the banner, because I have to go out and the event is in two days- I can't leave this til tomorrow. I will put up as much money as I can, but it would be wonderful (and is desperately needed!) if some of you kind people can help me out? I'm sorry to ask but I simply can't afford it on my own....

The banner is being made. A MelbourneBeats one... 2.5m wide, little less then a meter tall.

I really can't afford this on my own, so either we do what we are doing with the cd's or I cancel the order. I need some feedback here.

just got another email about the banner.... it is now going to cost $75 (+GST), and will have eyelets for us to string it up. The dimensions are:

650mm (H) x 2500mm (W)

Can someone let me know if this will be ok for the dj desk (width mainly)? (Approx... so I can give the go ahead). Thanks!

Once again I have good news. This last week and a half has been GREAT! Someone is smiling down on us.

No need for us to chip in for the banner. A guy at work was asking how plans were and I mentioned (in conversation) that the only thing we had to chip in for were the cd's and banner. He asked how much, and said that he was going to donate anyway, so handed me $100. So that'll cover the banner, the rope to put it up, and a receipt book. Any leftovers go in the bucket!
(EDIT: It'll probably buy the bucket too).
