Why cant peeps just stick to what their good at? a good producer doesnt always make a good dj and vice versa.

Although he's my favourite DJ and I love him as a label-boss - he doesn't really do a shitload of production. Didn't he like release his first single in like '96 and then his first solo album (Journey Inwards - which is not exactly d'n'b) almost 10 years later.

If it was favourite DJs or favourite labels, then he'd definately be my No.1.

Bukem hasn't done much without the Intense boys or Artemis. "Switch" is his first tune nearing release in tiiiiiiime.

Bukem's "Journey Inwards" was a pretty good reflection on the artist and the DJ, I thought.

actually, his first single was released around 1990-1 and the LP dropped in 2000. so you weren't far off mate! :)

it got released in 1992. ;)

"Logical Progression", "Teach Me To Fly" (With DJ Trace) and others came out before any GLR tunes though.

Mystic Moods was Phil Wells, aka Basement Phil, aka X-Pansions, aka many other aliases.. who started Basement Records with his brother and a few others.

he and Jack Smooth were also Earl Grey, Fast Floor, Electronic Experienced, Hedgehog Affair, Smooth But Hazardous, etc.

[/history_lesson] ;)

mystic moods was wikkid, those choons still sound fresh from years back! whats happend to him obviously no more choons being released ??

I think it was just an artist pseudonym for a while, so he could put out those deep atmospheric style things. I don't think Phil Wells is doing much to do with D&B these days.

last I heard (and this was some time back..), he was helping his brother out with making house tunes. garage and deeper stuff, maybe on the breakbeat tip. not too sure to be honest!

the last Mystic Moods release I saw/grabbed was back in 1997.
