comfortable classic-easter sunday recovery/roasting

Post by cuznmatt »

'The Comfortable Classic'. that's right we're going back to the comfy chair to pick up where we left off back in the day, where the coopers tap beer flowed and smoke would billow from the backyard. I know I know, i'm talking like the day was years and years ago but in reality we're just taking a step back a couple of years to the comfortable breaks sessions held on Wednesdays and Sundays by myagi and b heartless. this is a one off and is gonna rock easter sunday with miyagi, b heartless, cuznmatt, luko, the lovely arienwen, mustard and the outrageous chestwig...so pop that one in your diary, the comfortable classic at the comfortable chair, 98 lygon st east brunswick. Easter sunday 16th of April.

beats from 4pm... it's gonna be a corker!!!

one with an 'i' and one without. our miyagi's (with an 'i') been here a lot longer. he spun out when i showed him some of my myagi tunes. i'm sure they can share the name. our miyagi (semi retired) dont do no producin as far as i know and has been kicking round under said name in melbourne for well over 5 years now. them's the breakz. more m(i)yagi the merrier.

by phenomena i mean use of the term 'brunx' as in bronx. love it. in fact i think it was even originally coined by miyagi in the comfortable chair many many moons ago. chances are he prob ripped it from someone else anyhow but that's where i picked it up.

Your memory is so comfortably wrong!

It wasn't Bri who came up with that one, Matty. We were walking down the road from Ace Morning in the dark hours of some (ace) morning, probably during Deep Fried, because you wanted to show me and someone else (mebbe Ben?) a poster, one of those ones that said "nothing soft ever came out of the Bronx", cos you thought it was funny, and one of the three of us saw the Brunx/Bronx connection and within seconds we were all falling over ourselves to say it some more.

Dunno 'bout everyone else in the hood but that's when you and I started saying it Cuz.

Ah Deep Fried, only made it to two of them but they were wicked fun. One was my first Ace Morning experience, too - love that bar!

I got "The Brunx" from someone's "location", probably Matt's, but I like "bruns-wicked" too.

Either way, I'll catch you cats at the comfy chair on Sunday. I'll even bring easter eggs.

no no cuz, you are wrong.

I remember your delight at the discovery and it was definitely that night.

And QR is right, you then started using it online 'straight outta the brunx'.

yay you will be at Comfy on Sunday Quiet Roar!

jesus woman you are completely adament about this aren't you? na. bri was using the brunx on deep fried flyers, months and months before we discovered that nothing soft comes out of the brunx. i'd happily take credit for such innovation but simply cannot.

Bummed I missed it but the excess food, wine and spliffs of easter meant the comy chair at my house was the only one I could make it to.

Definitely keep 'em coming matt because I'm definitely keen.
