Subsequent to moving to Melbourne in 2001, Matt has performed at warehouse parties and club gigs at Room and Metro; guest spots for Earthcore, Fractured and Kinetik; His DJ accolades also include playing along side most of Melbourne's best such as Phil K, Ivan Gough, Gavin Kietel, Scrambler; and, international talents, Steve Gerrard, Klaus 'Heavyweight' Hill, Stanton Warriors and Aquasky. Matt Hofman cannot be pigeon holed owing to his continuously changing and innovative style that is always funky and never cheesy. He can drop anything from funked up jazzed out jackin House, Progressive House/Trance, Breakbeat, Electro House, Tech House, Tribal and Techno. With Nicole Foote from JJJ’s “The Club” and “Mix Up” featuring Matt twice in the last 6 months, National exposure and gigs are on the uprise. Matt blew us away at Fractured with Phil K so we jsut had to ask him to come and play with us @ Stylus
Guyno
To quote Karl (Lynt) Stanton.... Guyno is an integral part of the Melbourne breakbeat scene. Rocking floors at many parties over the last 4 or five years is what Guyno does best (not to mention his stella graphic design ability). Being one half of the infamous "Gimme a Break" parties Guyno has played killer peak time rockers of sets to no less than 24 Gimme parties over the course of 2 and a 1/2 years. His musical tastes go from funky rolling beats through to rockin' out with artists like Roxiller and Christian J. Playing on Triple J's mix up saw his DJing displayed for the whole country. We are excited to see what he has in store for us @ stylus and all I can say is.... IT'S ABOUT BLOODY TIME!!!
Cubist
Cubist is not only a supurb DJ but also a talented and accomplished producer as well. After the air settled from Cubist's famous "Cat Epire" tangle he went on to host one of Melbourne's most innovative and well supported parties called "Local Line-Up", Local Line up started as a Drum n Bass party showcasing producers, it has gone on to include a breaks as well as DnB. These parties give the bedroom composers a chance to strut their stuff in an environment that's not just another DJ gig but a chance to play to an audience that want to hear their orginal music. Cubist will be warming things up with a tasty blend of atmospheric DnB and whatever other threats he has in store for us.
