I feel the same way about movies like Zoolander, Dodge Ball & anything with Rob Schneider
kiddie humour
All about the Blue Steel!
i also like Dodge Ball and Rob Schneider, i reckon they are fuckin funny to watch. Rob Schneider in 50 First Dates had me almost crying with laughter.

I actually didn't mind 40 Year Old Virgin because I watched it without the expectation that it would be on a par with Anchorman. Whilst it definitely missed the X factor of Will Farrell, I enjoyed it for the shameless piece of fluff that it was.
Expectations are the biggest killer when it comes to any form of entertainment, be it music, movies, books, TV or stage shows.

Yeh 40 year old virgin was pretty lame. Im not usually a fan of all the Ben stiller, Rob Schneider, Will Ferrel etc stupid humour...but i absolutely loved Anchorman though.dust wrote:Yeah see I really liked Zoolander and I own Anchorman and could watch it a hundred times and still find it funny. not too manly to say that "Todo Sobre Mi Madre" always brings a tear to my eye. Almodovar is an amazing film maker - even his lesser films always have something to captivate me.dust wrote:I watched High Heels last night, then when I turned it off All About My Mother was on SBS. Almodovar-fest.
that was a bit of a Marisa Parides fest for you last night, too!

I now own it on dvd and everytime I see it I have a little blub.system wrote:not too manly to say that "Todo Sobre Mi Madre" always brings a tear to my eye. I can safely say the Almodovar is one of my favourite directors. He always depicts familial relationships with so much warmth and soul and every film is quirky without being too weird.

and he has his brother do a cameo in every film! how family orientated is that.
he's also one of the few openly gay directors to actually depict people of every sexual orientation realistically. Agrado, from AAMM, is a great example alone!

she's hot! he never uses her anymore though.Special Hegg wrote:Victoria Abril is awesome too. It's all too rare these days that an actor can play totally different characters instead of just being themselves in every film (ie George Clooney, William Shatner).

I'm Slovak, and Hostel is just way off the mark when it comes to poverty in the area. And there are def no gypsy kids roaming around the area asking for candy or $1 coins.
BUT IT'S SPOT ON ABOUT HOW GOOD THE WOMEN LOOK!! :jawdrop:
Can any slavic women plz call me. My mum wants me to get married, but i can't find the right girl.

Nah, haven't seen Hostel yet, have to wait for the DVD release. Gutted I missed it at the movies, I just never seem to go to the cinema anymore. Will try and get down there for Hills Have Eyes this week. That Slither movie looks potentially repulsive too, but I reckon it will be shithouse.Charlie73 wrote:did you go to see Hostel? You ever seen Zombie Flesh Eaters??? Gots to LOVE the Italian Zombie flicks....
I have uncut version on DVD if you want to borrow it....
I've ALWAYS been meaning to check out the Italian zombie classics, but I never have! Been meaning to watch ZFE, and have been told to see Zombie Holocaust and the old Dario Argento movies.
